My Dad’s lost his passport in Norway today - is there any way he can come to my graduation in Spain on Friday? Any help is so hugely appreciated.

Probably not sadly. I missed a holiday last year after I had my passport stolen in Spain. I got an emergency travel document to fly home but was told the same that I needed a replacement that would take a week. Annoying, my passport arrived in 5 day so quicker than planned but 6 hours too late to catch my flight.

Strangely, you could get a replacement passport the same day in the early 90s.
A friends got lost in the post between the Polish embassy and his house, so he had to go to Liverpool to get one ASAP - he has an interview in the morning and it was printed by Mid-afternoon.
(His original passport turned up the day after we left)

Not now that he's boarded a flight to the UK. If he'd stayed in the Schengen zone he'd have been ok. The fastest he could officially get a new passport is the one week service - he might be able to have that by next Tuesday. I suppose it's worth applying in the hopes it would come early, but that seems unlikely.

Yeah OP. may have been worth dad slowly making his way to Spain, and taking a week longer holiday within Schengen :/

Nope. It's not an emergency. Minimum a week for a lost passport, plus the day to get the appointment as there are no "same day" appointments.
So due to bank holiday, Tuesday the lines for passport appointments open.
Earliest they can give an appointment is next day for non emergencies so that's Wednesday.
Earliest for a new passport is a week for lost passports. That's 3rd June.

You can book an appointment at a passport office and get it the same day.

Its not cheap and you'll be waiting round for a while.

Adding in a bank holiday Monday, and im sorry but I think getting your Dad to Spain on Friday is very unlikely.
