Looking for a hospital bag suggestion.

I thought I had my hospital bag all set up. But I needed to take myself to the ER the other day and I was checked in for a few days. I did figure out a few were missing:

* A notebook to note down every thing that gets done, or doesn't, to check against the inevitable bill.

* Some things I need to buy multiple of for each type of bag I have prepped.

* Ass cushion. Those beds are rough for sitting in.

And then one thing I didn't consider, my bag was not one that laundered well on hot. And I am too paranoid to not wash a bag that has been sitting in the floor of a mid hospital ER for 3 days.

Has anyone found a good type of bag for a hospital go bag that washes well?

Toothbrush, tooth paste, floss, hairbrush, lotion, socks, change of comfy clothes, easy on sweater/sweatshirt, phone cord, power bank, snacks, quarters and dollar bills for the vending machine, hair tie, glasses case, list of current meds and doses, ID and insurance card, list of emergency contacts and phone numbers, advanced directive (if not already on file with your system of care), pet sitters info if needed, book/tablet, deck of cards.

I also bring an extension cord. Most charging cords don't reach the beds very well and the extension cord can be tied around the bed arm for easy accessibility.

I have like a 6 foot cord or something like that, but the extension cord is a great idea. Power strip to get everything in one spot!

Why didn't you have the staff put your bag on a chair or the counter? Unless you are in an ancient hospital that doesn't have a counter with sink, there should be one in the room. At the very least there typically is a table and barring that, there is room behind the stretcher where a portable O2 tank goes that we will put a person's bag/clothes.

My kids each have one of these duffels. Cheap and surprisingly durable. I bought them in 2018. Zippers just started to fail this year. Been washed on hot multiple times.
