Be honest, how many coding courses are sitting unfinished in your account right now?

When you look back at the ones you dropped, what was actually going on at that point? Was it the content, life getting busy, losing confidence, something else?
I want to hear about the ones that didn't make it - not the "I pushed through" stories.

a LOT. To be fair, there were many I started that I went "this is trash" and stopped.
Theres only 2-3 well rated/recommended ones I did not finish.

My udemy account account has 135 courses total sitting in my "My learning" tab. I've completed 6.
Crazy to think I've dropped $1,350 - $4,000 on these (Courses ranged from $10 to $30)

I can't afford school or the debt that loans would incur, but this sounds like the route I should / would've taken. Alas, I too have an account for with unfinished courses.

Zero. I've only ever bought a very limited amount of courses. Mainly for languages and platforms.
I also spent a lot of time completing LinkedIn Learning courses on various topics related to soft skills. Probably got to around 40 courses (some were just 1 hour, some were 3-6) in the span of 6 months.

None, I just go do stuff, since school I can't trust other people to teach me stuff because I never understand in the first explanation so I gotta do it myself to understand it

About 3 at the moment. Mostly because the courses have disappeared. I started them a month or two at best before EDX and Coursera removed them off the platform.
Then ran out of money for another elsewhere.

A lot. I have several Virtual Machines with 80-95% finished things. I treat them with care and release when I want to (if ever). My hobby projects are for fun and personal fulfillment, so they're "done" when I say so đŸ˜„

Pretty much every single one I ever got except for my degree lol. I usually invest in a course if I wanted to quickly familiarize myself with a new tech stack, language or framework. Finishing those courses is not really necessary to do so.

After the one that I had bought and never finished I haven't bought anything anymore. Mostly because its not worth the money, but if it was I wouldn't finished it anyway.
I checked so many guys on YT before checking their courses and the way they describe the technology, what and how to do made me sick and put asleep so many times. I felt that they dont even work in industry and just make courses for people too lazy to check the internet by themselves. Everything is free.
