The first NA only model in 30 years. Video from The Autopian.

Damn. I thought Naturally Aspirated. ,,473 and NA? Hell yeah!” Then I realized it meant North America..
boostedb1mmer@reddit
Why? A modern turbo car has the same throttle response, just more power compared to a naturally aspirated variant.
cookyouanything@reddit
sound way worse
equitymans@reddit
And throttle response is still not on par lol physically not possible for it to ever truly be the same. Porsche is prob the best rn with electric aided and it's still adding latency
boostedb1mmer@reddit
Eh, thats not automatically true. There are a lot NA cars that sound absolutely awful and some turbo cars that sound great.
Ftpini@reddit
Hahaha, that is so lame. That said, my 486 naturally aspirated stick shift V8 car is already perfect. I’m sure a BMW would be fun, but I prefer the Mustang to the M3 as you can’t get an M3 convertible for over a decade now.
cocisvlad@reddit
You can. They just renamed the coupe/convertible M4 for the 2 latest generations
equitymans@reddit
LOL same
PretendLength1710@reddit
manual in a 2025 bmw is wild lol props to them
V48runner@reddit
Typical redditor on this sub: Yeah, well, that's not enough HP for me to pull the trigger, and the interior is cheap.
Dramatic-Bottle2440@reddit
Not one Mfer in this entire thread is buying this car new. Not one. Guaranteed.
falcon0159@reddit
Yeah, I decided to order a 6 speed M2 instead.
SnikySquirrel@reddit
Honestly I feel like the current M3 makes more sense with an auto. The manual gives up so much speed that it’s not much faster than an E9X, which has better styling, steering, and sound.
greenmoustache@reddit
I had both and E46 and E90 M3 and now I have a G80 M3 all have been 6MT and they have all been fun in different ways. I obviously loved the high revving NA engines, but saying the G80 is not much faster is silly unless you’re only talking about 0-60. The low-end power is really nice for day-to-day driving.
I also think my G80 handles just as well as my E90 did if not better. I know it’s a niche segment but for someone that wants a fun sporty car but and needs a real back seat for a kid/dog/etc, this car is everything I can ask for.
UmaThurmish@reddit
this is a car that you can buy and be sure it will sell way higher than MSRP after a few years in this point in time
the problem is that good luck getting this from dealers without a 30-40K markup.
cannedrex2406@reddit
Give it 2-3 years after they go out of production and they drop in value as they aren't as powerful as a regular CS, and a lot of people seem to not really be into it based on internet comments constantly begging for the Touring instead.
They'll have a solid dip and then go back up in value as BMW stops making manual M cars once the current G87 is finished production
The_Bucket_Of_Truth@reddit
Is it significantly cheaper than the other version? Kinda feels like the Carrera T of M3s given it has the base motor and RWD since I guess the manual isn't compatible with the torque of the more powerful motor they pair with AWD. So you're paying for a very minor weight savings here, but it seems to me it's mostly about suspension tuning and cosmetic stuff.
hi_im_bored13@reddit
love the idea of this car but I'm not sure why a 5min video on the styling was necessary when its the same exact car outside as the standard m3cs lol
UmaThurmish@reddit
it actually has less horsepower than the CS because it's manual and BMW didn't modify the ZF8
Skensis@reddit
Yeah, and unlike when they did a manual for the 3.0 CSL, they actually expect people to drive this car.
UmaThurmish@reddit
with those awful seats these cars look uncomfortable as hell
Skensis@reddit
Apparently they are pretty comfortable, hard to get in and out of but comfortable.
I regret not speccing them on my car honestly.
randeus@reddit
I’ve sat in them before and I personally didn’t find that too comfortable.
UmaThurmish@reddit
the neuterelizer seats?
Skensis@reddit
Hey, I can only afford kids or the car, not both.
NetworkStatic@reddit
That's thinking ahead. Kids would hurt the car budget so... priorities.
Skensis@reddit
I want a M2 CS in a stick 😥
Probably couldn't afford it. But I want one.
LongjumpingLock5875@reddit
I got you! Just have to get a last generation model, and spend $100k!

Skensis@reddit
Actually saw that listing... Tempted to be honest.
EloeOmoe@reddit
NA - North America, not Naturally Aspirated. Got my hopes up.
It doesn't have the M3 CS engine in it so I'm kinda confused on calling it an M3 CS.
phxbimmer@reddit
I mean the F10 M5 6-speed and E60 M5 6-speed were US-only models as well.
Hnry_Dvd_Thr_Awy@reddit
Does he keep calling parts of the car "content"?
