what does this mean? is it a powerful arm apu or an arm cpu with high-end nvidia gpu integrated?
LastChancellor@reddit (OP)
Mediatek CPU with an integrated laptop RTX 5070
DehydratedButTired@reddit
I’m betting it will have different tiers. A low base model then giant price jumps for better ones.
Qsand0@reddit
holy fuck. How'd you know it's a 5070 specifically?
LastChancellor@reddit (OP)
We've known that the N1X's GPU has the same amount of cores as a 5070 from an old 2025 Geekbench spotting
a desktop 5070
derider@reddit
The big question is, if a desktop class 5070 at 175w will outperform the 5080/5090 mobile.
From-UoM@reddit
Well the GB10 is rare case of 3nm blackwell instead of the 5nm on the desktop/laptop cards.
It should be more efficient
battler624@reddit
You can easily look it up.
Look at the amount of shading units on TechPowerUp DB, the Desktop 5070 fits between the 5070 ti and 5080 mobile editions.
They could very well call this a 5070 ti super mobile.
LastChancellor@reddit (OP)
we finally found the cancelled 5070 Super mobile (5070 12GB) and 5070Ti Super mobile (N1X) lmao 🙂↔️
Sopel97@reddit
might be close https://www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_end_gpus.html

Interesting choice for Lenovo to use the Legion lineup for this...
LastChancellor@reddit (OP)
at least theyre making a new (15 inch) Legion 7 chassis for the N1X
meanwhile the exact same Yoga Pro 7 chassis is about to be used for both Intel Panther Lake + RTX 5050/5060/5070, AMD Strix Halo, N1X, and N1 LMAO

It’s interesting release. The cortex 925 will be almost 2 generations behind the latest and greatest by the time this laptop hits the market, since Cortex C2 will be shipping later this year. According to Chip and cheese the cortex 925 in GB10 is competitive to Zen 5 and Lion Cove, but Nova Lake and Zen 6 is right around the corner.
The GPU in GB10 has double the amount of Tensor Cores and TMUs per SM compared to the desktop RTX 5070, but almost half the amount of ROPs and less than half the bandwidth. It is meant for AI inference than gaming. I wonder if Lenovo will ship it with 128GB of LPDDR5X and how much that will cost.
Also it be the only Blackwell product shipped on TSMC N3.
dampflokfreund@reddit
Will be an interesting first generation product but I bet the real star is the successor, with LPDDR6 memory, RTX 60 series GPU and the latest ARM cores with modern instruction sets, I bet it is going to be incredible.
Stennan@reddit
Personally I hope this will work out. If it could run Linux, even better.
dstanton@reddit
This thing with Bazzite would be VERY intriguing.
Krowken@reddit
Given that the Nvidia GB10 chip (which has Linux support) is basically identical to the N1X this shouldn’t be an issue.
weiweixin@reddit
Interesting leak! Looking forward to the official release of Legion 7.
Ok-Parfait-9856@reddit
This might make windows on arm more viable. It’s come a long way but still isn’t what it needs to be. I’m not a huge fan of Qualcomm chips in laptops but pairing an impressive arm cpu with a nvidia gpu should drive adoption
LastChancellor@reddit (OP)
good thing this is a Mediatek CPU then 🙂↔️😉
ghenriks@reddit
The DGX Spark uses Mediatek and there have been no complaints regarding it
ericihle@reddit
What about the reports upon release that it was running at half the rated power and performance?
thehighshibe@reddit
Mediatek really came out of nowhere with goated chips , I remember when you could only find them on dodgy knock off copies of the Galaxy note or iPhone on dhgate and whatnot
LastChancellor@reddit (OP)
And it all started with the humble Helio G90T...
thehighshibe@reddit
Hello put em on the map but the MT6592 my beloved, sometimes gluing enough A7 cores together really does work
LastChancellor@reddit (OP)
For context, this should be directly related to that mysterious charger for a 15 inch Legion 7 with N1X
And funny that Lenovo already announced another 15 inch Legion 7 ahead of time, but with Strix Halo....
Computex 2026 is gonna be loaded
