Sudden power shutdowns error 41

After following advice and installing a new PSU, I had high hopes my PC wouldnt experience another sudden error 41 total shutdown. Unfortunately today whilst installing a new GPU driver for my 5070ti it did it again.
I checked the GPU and it seems seated ok to me though I didn't pull it all the way out and put it back again it seems firm and no sag. Cables seem fine. There was a lower left red light on mb but this went.
The shutdown happened after that. I have tried two different extensions as double wall socket is too far away. Will have to get a 2.5 to 3metre PC power kettle lead to reach it directly. The next wall socket after this would require 4.5m lead. This is in the UK.
I'm now angry as I bought a new PSU.

Run the windows memory diagnostic tool. Sometimes, ram faults can cause the shutdowns.
I've been dealing with something like this for way too long on one of my systems. The event viewer messages aren't as helpful as one would hope, most of the time.
On one system, after one by one replacing every component, it still was having issues. I'm pretty sure it was wall power issues the whole time.

I'm starting to think of wall power issues but I can do almost nothing about it. It isn't my place. It's a double socket but if I plug into another in the room I'll need a 4 metre psu lead from Amazon. Maybe 5 metres. You think I should? Also I'll run tbat memory test. Thanks.

Instead of further dirtying power with an extension cord, I would first try an "online UPS." Basically, it's a power strip with an inline battery. All of the devices plugged in run off of the battery, which is perpetually charged by the dirty wall power.
If you don't find another solution, you won't HURT anything but your wallet with a UPS

It's so weird though that for 6 months of owning the pc and the pc before it wasn't an issue. I will look at inclined battery power strips this evening at least. Thanks.

Do you run any undervolts or overclocks?
Have you done a reinstall of windows just to rule it out?
Puzzleheaded_Day_895@reddit (OP)
I do not run undervolts or overclocks no. I haven't reinstalled no. Was told there's no way it could be that.

Sorry I replied to the thread instead of your comment...
Anyways I don't think it's that either.... But it's something relatively easy and in your control so try it.
Someone else may be causing interference on the breaker your on. Try using a different room for a little while if you can...
The next thing I would look into is a UPS to clean up the power delivery to the PSU... Could even buy an old one with a weak battery just got the clenaup circuitry, not the back up portion.

I can't use a different room unfortunately. A UPS? Dammit that sounds like more money :( Would a long psu lead all the way to another socket in the room help? They are double sockets too. Don't know anything about UPSs but would that potentially help? Or a better extension like this? Brennenstuhl Super-Solid-Line 8-way Extension Socket (Extension Lead with Safety Fuse Button, 2,5m cable, sockets in 90° arrangement) black/grey : Amazon.co.uk: DIY & Tools Thanks

Yeah ups aren't super cheap, that's why I said used older one with a worn battery.
You should use a surge protector just to save your components, but its not going to clean up the power if that's the issue. Can you return the PSU and use your old one?
Puzzleheaded_Day_895@reddit (OP)
I should say the PC had no issues until after 6 months. Oh well. Right surge protector ok. Not sure I can go through all the way stripping new PSU out stuff again. Is it definitely not the PSU then? I suppose I could try and return it. I give up.

I can't really say for certain but the montech is a high quality psu already so I doubt it...
Troubleshooting intermittent things is the worst.
Puzzleheaded_Day_895@reddit (OP)
Well if it's the gpu then unfortunately I will have to sell my pc as it will be useless to me and i don't have the money for a replacement.
Yep intermitten faults.

List all your components.

AMD 7800X3D, Asus Prime 5070ti, B850 Aorus Elite Wifi 7, 32 GB DDR5, Corsair RM1000X 1000W (was montech century II 1050 or whatever), Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120.

Damn your old psu was probably fine...
How is your house wiring? Old or modern?
Puzzleheaded_Day_895@reddit (OP)
I followed advice after a lot of research so there was no other option. No idea about house wiring as it isn't my house. House is from 1898, wiring obviously not. It hasn't been an issue before and not for 6 months of having this PC or the PC before. :( I am sad.
