Can anyone help identify this WW2 bolt action rifle from the film NR 24?

Note, i altered the lighting and coloring of some screenshots to make the rifle standout better

It's a Krag-Jorgensen Model 1898 chambered in .30-40.

More likely to be in 6.5x55

I removed my caliber description since I'm not sure what it would have been then. My US Springfield Krag is in .30-40.

The Norwegian Krags were chambered in 6.5x55. The 6.5x55 is still popular in Scandinavia today.
.30-40 have not been used in Norway.

I really need a Norwegian Krag for the collection- any Krag here is hard enough to find let alone one in 6.5

Krags are such an odd bunch. Like I have never heard of anyone drastically wanting one, yet they always go for prices that imply significant demand. I mean I know I want one but I’m an odd duck.

You can still get them here (Norway), but the condition varies quite a lot. Prices varies between 100$ to 2000 $.

Most likely is 6.5x55mm as that's what the Norwegian Army used. Danish Krags were in 8x58mmR but they're visually very different from the weapon in the picture so they can be excluded.
Certain variants of the American Krag ( in caliber .30-40) are also similar externally but I don't think that any ever ended up in Europe.

Its a norwegian krag, but from the looks of it its had its sights and bayonet lug removed so im inclined to think that it was modified to be a sporting or target rifle and then had those sights removed to look more military again

These are very fun to shoot, we have one in the family passed down as a family heirloom of sorts. I have no idea how old it is but it shoots like a dream

The year of production is marked on the reciever.

Norwegian Krag-Jorgensen rifle, in the 6.5×55mm cartridge. Both Sweden and Norway shared the same cartridge but in different rifles, while both Norway and Denmark shared the same rifle but in different cartridges.

Movie without an entry in IMFD ?! What are those gun freaks doing ! Scratching their cannonballs ?
protonicfibulator@reddit
Where is the rear sight?
ZequalsAPlusIB@reddit
It is most likely a Krag Jørgensen M/1894 issued in 6.5x55 as it was the standard rifle of the norwegian army at the time.
