Best Dive Bars in the DFW.

I mainly stay in the Carrollton region but I have friends around the lower Greenville area that are also looking for some places to mingle and have fun. We all feel like we've outgrown video games and are getting too old to be single. If anyone knows a good dive bars for the mid 20s to 30s crowd please post the name and city.

Was there last night. It truly is as divey as it gets. It’s a good time though for the most part. I’ve got a buddy that goes there every Saturday and I go up there every few months or so. It’s rowdy, a bit dicey, but generally a good time.

I don't actually disagree that some of them stretch the definition of "dive," hence why I gave a spectrum of options. For some, a dive bar is a moody hole-in-the-wall vibe with espresso martinis, for others it's $3 Lone Stars and an alcoholic couple in their 60s getting into the same public shouting match every week. Considering OP appears to be a young guy from the suburbs trying to get laid and sees bars as a step up in maturity from gaming with his buddies, I'm assuming the former is more his speed.

been to ships lounge few times when i was stationed at nearby base and it definitely has that mid-20s to 30s vibe you're looking for. crowd there is pretty chill mix of locals and people just wanting decent drinks without the fancy cocktail scene. lakewood landing is solid too but gets bit more crowded in weekends so timing matters if you want actual conversation space. never made it to cosmo's but heard good things from buddies who go there regular - apparently they got good jukebox and bartenders who remember your drink after couple visits

I’ll throw Barfly into the mix. It’s cheap, it’s divey, and you will probably see a drink thrown in a man’s face…we also call it barflee because the signage really doesn’t separate the words
