recs for best gaming mouse 2026 for fps games and long daily use?

im looking to replace my current mouse soon because its started double clicking randomly and the shape never really felt great for long sessions anyway. i mostly play fps games but also spend a lot of time on my pc outside gaming, so comfort matters just as much as performance for me.
ive been checking reviews and now im completely stuck because every mouse seems to have people who love it and people who hate it. lightweight mice especially seem super popular now, but im not sure if they actually make a noticeable difference long term or if its mostly preference.
for people here who upgraded recently, what mouse ended up being worth it for you? did you notice any real difference switching to a lighter mouse or different shape? and if you had to recommend one gaming mouse in 2026 for both gaming and everyday use, what would you pick?

Logitech G502, have two, they’ve lasted for years and I have never felt the need to change them die to how good they feel.
Lirael_Gold@reddit
My only complaint with the G502 is that eventually the scrollwheel will break or you'll get double left-clicks.
(and when I say eventually I mean after 4-5 years, which is fine for a mouse that doesn't cost too much)

G502 for life.

if you want a comfortable mouse i definitely recommend mchose g3 v2 pro if you play longer session of games it has a good specs on it too and budget friendly not too expensive
ddhh@reddit
G305 shape is still goated, just heavy as a brick compared to modern stuff
CustardCivil@reddit
yes if only they didn't use double aa battery i know it balances the weight of it but having rechargable battery is always good
BlastingStink@reddit
A standard AA battery lasts months in the 305 and you can absolutely get rechargeable AA batteries if you wanted to.
The swappable AA is a feature, not a hindrance.

i’ve actually been realizing shape might matter way more to me than chasing the absolute lightest mouse possible. comfort during long sessions is probably my biggest issue with my current one. the g305 style shape always looked pretty safe too since so many people seem to like it long term. how’s the build quality on the mchose compared to bigger brands?
CustardCivil@reddit
yes shape is more important than lightweight cause if you went too lightweight it might feel cheap but having comfortable shape that fits your hand will benefit you more less stress on the wrist and hand

I have the mchose l7 pro. If you want a super light mouse and don't mind if its small, id recommend

Viper v3/v4 pro. Top tier shape, specs, coating, lightweight, weight balance, just the best and I've tried a good amount of mice.
And yes lightweight makes a huge difference, I was using a g502 for almost a decade and had wrist pain so I tried a lightweight mouse and it was night and day for everything. Less wrist pain and they're just so much better for everything. People who recommend heavy mice or the g502 don't know what they're talking about

the more people talk about lightweight mice, the more i feel like i’ve been living in the dark ages with heavier mice. i’ve used chunkier mice for years too so maybe that’s part of why my wrist starts feeling tired during long sessions. the viper v3 pro keeps coming up everywhere lately too. did it take time getting used to such a light mouse or did it immediately feel better?
SpookyGhostDidIt@reddit
Took a very small amount of time. I was concerned it would feel too easy to move, that I'd throw it around and couldn't micro-adjust, but it was actually easier to do all things with a lighter mouse.
If you game a decent amount, have some disposable income, I'd suggest at least looking at a clone of the shape although the real viper coating is the best and idk how well clones imitate it. Mchose has a good clone for cheap if I remember correctly. You can go to eloshapes, type in the viper, and select find similar mouses, and it will give you the list of clones. Mchose l7 or something like that

i use a logitech g402. cheap but very good i have no complaints about it

I love the deathadder shape... But it's build quality is utter trash and twice I've had them not honour their warranty with their shitty buttons

Swapped to a Chinese lightweight mouse recently after using the g502 logitech for years. It's a huge difference for long daily use and greatly reduced the strain on my wrist and hands.
I really like the Lamzu Atlantis mini, although I'm currently using a wlmouse for their magnesium alloy mice.

To be honest, I love the cheap 10€ mice from Logitech. Why? Becasuse they are light. Gaming mice are quite heavy, I don't like it for quick movements.

Logitech G203. You don't need to spend a lot.

I have two Redragon M908 Impact RGB LED MMOs. I've been using them for years and love them. I have the DPI cranked to near max. Watching my coworkers and wife try to use my mouse is hilarious.
But, with all that said, it has side buttons that you can hotkey, the software isn't bloated, it's solid and reliable, has removable weights, and is a huge bang for your buck at only 23 dollars.
It's blown 60 dollar+ mice I've purchased out of the water.

I've been using a Viper Mini for like 5 years now.
I remember switching from my old chunky noname brand mouse with a different shape, it felt really comfortable, but it didn't stop me from getting muscle inflammation when I started playing Osu haha.
I don't play fps games anymore but I still play a lot, Osu too sometimes and I think it's still really comfortable and it's doing its job so I can recommend. The Viper Mini is quite old at this point so you can probably find a better, newer lightweight with better specs. Also wireless is the thing now it's probably better for comfort too.
But I'm pretty sure it's just preference. In my opinion mouse doesn't matter that much if you can get one that's not an office mouse, and it feels good to play with you're good to go.
On the other hand I didn't really try other mouses that much so don't listen to me.

Razer death adder V3 pro lightweight worked wonders for me
Celatra@reddit
i have 2 mice:
steelseries rival 5 for singleplayer games and browsing
Hyperx Pulsefire Haste 2 for online fps games due to it being the cheapest 8000hz polling rate mouse.

I love my Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2! Great gaming performance, lightweight, wireless - what's not to like
RaidenSigma@reddit
Whats not to like is its price, which is more than 50% just for the brand.
IcarusV2@reddit
I am not going to argue with that - it is indeed expensive.
Tks1991@reddit
Logitech superlight and razer viper shape is one of the most comfortable for all kinds of users usually, and fits a lot of style grips.
Try to get one of those shapes with the largest battery you can find. Try to stay under 60gr it helps with accuracy in fps games as there is less weight, so less resistance.
tronatula3@reddit
Does not matter, my cheap $7 mouse has been serving me well for 5 years
Morkai@reddit
I have a Razer Viper v2 Pro that has done really really well for me.
Secret_Career3366@reddit
I upgraded to the Razer viper v3 pro and it’s been awesome for me. Very light weight, good battery and shape as well
Dssjr@reddit
I've been through 10+ mice these past few months looking for "the one" but I always just end up back to using my Viper V3 Pro. Everyone has their own preferences and it just comes down to finding the shape for you. r/MouseReview is a nice place to check out and ask.

i've had my logitech g302 for a bit over two years now and i highly recommend it. First wireless mouse and I am never going back
