What's it like living in Grapevine?

we're currently in north Fort Worth but my husband seems to be very excited at the thought of Grapevine but I love a certain spirit that Fort Worth has. What would it be like in Grapevine? any Pros or Cons to share?

Grapevine dares to ask "what if a suburb were both inconvenient and devoid of personality"

Yes I wonder if it's too vanilla and boring lol

But you're comparing it to NFTW. I used to live in NFTW and it's cookie cutter, plagued with traffic. Grapevine has its own unique feel imo.

Pros are the location, main st is awesome and you’re close to the airport.
Cons, you’re close to the airport, homes can be very hit and miss over there.
Id try and be as close to main st as you can. Though it can get expensive the closer you get. I’ve had a client search running for a while for stuff close to there, they don’t pop up often but there’s definitely options

Grapevine has a lot to offer. Main Street is great, especially at Christmas. The Rec is a good place to work out and has a nice indoor pool. Lots of good restaurants to eat at. Good parks and trails by the lake. It is easy to get on the high and go pretty much anywhere in the metroplex.

I live in Southlake but we’re always around grapevine. They have the nicest main street in the area imo. Having grapevine like is also a huge bonus, there are dozens of hiking and mtb trails, plenty of boat access around dove road also. Grapevine mills mall is there, it’s a very unique mall with tons to do. Grapevines location is the cherry on top.

I live here. Most areas are older build-out with trees, which is nice. The Main Street area is fun. Easy to get to other areas of DFW by freeway or train. Restaurants here and in neighboring burbs are good. Schools are good, though we have had school board lunatics.
Cons: traffic, airport noise if that bothers you, obviously not the size of Dallas, Fort Worth, or even the big burbs. Because of the schools, rent and home purchase can be high for the area, though not insane. You are kind of the poor middle neighbor (relatively) to Southlake, Colleyville, and Coppell, which doesn't bother me at all but might some people.

Grapevine is beautifully centered and offers a quaint and quiet feel, despite being surrounded by extremely busy areas. I don't live there, but I helped a couple of friends buy homes there, so I get to go hang out.
Main St is BEAUTIFUL year-round and it's one of the most glorious spots to ve around Christmas.
I love acreage, so I chose Weatherford, but Grapevine is always a place I like to visit for food, shopping, etc

Extremely close to DFW airport. There is a kinda nice and big lake.

Yes the lake definitely seems super nice to live by and noticed there's walking paths/bike trails.
