Bro if one of these in 45 70 popped up under 1k I wouldn't be able to stop myself
rapitrone@reddit
From breaking your wrist.
Quw10@reddit
Meh this is a stienel 730gr, and here is some spicey bear defense rounds, and some 405gr cowboy loads which really aren't that bad especially if you wear gloves. I say this as a dude built like a twig that it's really not that bad for the most part and I often shoot mine one handed with stienels 300gr goldilocks rounds.
Foxxy__Cleopatra@reddit
I've shot the 730gr out of a Bond Arms Cyclops (4.25" derringer lol) without gloves and it was fierce, but not like stupidly so. I imagine it'd be way more tame in a BFR. In a suppressed Marlin it's about on par with 12ga buckshot.
Quw10@reddit
I've shot a few out of my Cyclops and about smacked myself in the face the first attempt. I always struggle to find the sweet spot on the trigger so kinda psyched myself out struggling with it but your description of it is pretty similar to my subsequent shots. Are they pretty quiet out of the marlin?
Foxxy__Cleopatra@reddit
Haha, opened up the video and had already liked it. Yeah the trigger might be the worst part on the Cyclops, it's terrible and frankly bizarre, you've kind of got to push "up" on it.
I've got a giant 2" diameter x 10" dedicated 45-70 can and the thing literally sounds like a paintball gun with those Steinel 730gr and 777gr loads. It's nuts and kind of throws your brain for a loop to have something with real recoil sound so quiet to unprotected ears. It's kind of like when you think there's one more step at the top of the stairs when there isn't, pulling the trigger on one of those suppressed 730gr slugs is like stepping on that phantom stair.
rapitrone@reddit
It was a joke, son.
MonarchCore@reddit
Worth it
fourleggedpython@reddit
they make a 50 beowulf variant as well
Orgeweight@reddit
PREACH.
BobBBobbington@reddit
Same here I want my meme cannon. I've heard most 45-70 loads aside from the crazy heavy weight bullets aren't any worse than .44mag on a regular size revolver
Blindmelliejellie@reddit
A friend has the 45/70 version. Very well made, if the 6" 500 linebaugh ever is in stock its on.
blitz121@reddit
I keep looking at the 10" 45-70... I love 45-70...

Professional-Two9038@reddit
Hardly spoke to folks around him, didn't have too much to say
Fun_Assignment_269@reddit
I sing this to myself every time I get my Colt 1909 out to the range. Texas Red ain't shit.
BMF300winmag@reddit
And the swiftness of the Ranger is still talked about todaaayyy
DA6_FTW@reddit
.350 legend… that’s like .300blk but straight walled right?
Verbotene55@reddit
Effectively. It's not actually a 5.56 case, but it uses a rebated rim so it uses the same bolt. Slight modifications are needed for 5.56 mags.
_Binky@reddit
I have a lot of 350 legend sitting around from an ar upper, it was a deer rifle that never got finished.
Legal-Practice2445@reddit
Wh…Why?!
hitemlow@reddit
Because some areas require you hunt with a straight-wall cartridge, minimum .30cal, and some individuals want to use the same cartridge in both rifle and pistol seasons.
It's not a good idea, but .350 legend was on Wal-Mart shelves all throughout Covidtimes.
swooshZ0691@reddit
That was the case, the law in lower michigan changes this hunting season to allow regular common rifle cartridges now so this push in .350 lately is most likely retailers just trying to clear stock.

Self defense against whales, large aircraft, and 6 story buildings.
MonarchCore@reddit
You dont ask the BIG FUCKING REVOLVER why
GTE_Engineering@reddit
Some of the highest quality machining I’ve ever seen on a firearm was on my 500 JRH BFR
OneWhoDoesNotFail@reddit (OP)
No one simply asks why a BFR, only why not a BFR...
Ok_Sky9929@reddit
Can I mount a bipod on this?
Begle1@reddit
Sure, unless the bipod legs can be put together in a vertical position, under which case government agents may shoot your dog and put you in jail for having a vertical foregrip on a pistol.
cyclorphan@reddit
That'd give a nice kick.
Have been considering building out an AR in this since the only difference is basically barrel (can't remember the deal with mags but thought they were at least convertible from standard AR mags)
hobodemon@reddit
Pmags have reinforcing ribs you need to file down to let the more forward part of the case to clear, but you can run them without filing them down if you're willing to accept some degree of reliability problems.
jdmmikel@reddit
This is the barrel she tells me not to worry about
Former_Power6209@reddit
Midwest makes a shoulder stock for these, would make a super cool SBR candidate.
Embarrassed-Lie2272@reddit
Funny enough a 350 legend BFR probably isn’t as bad as some of the other calibers this thing has been in
Coodevale@reddit
It's basically a modernized .357 max, for the people that remember that cartridge. And it has semi spitzer bullets available in factory cartridges for the 3 people that want to do longer range handgun things..
peppersgeneralstore@reddit
I feel like this needs a rail for a 5-25x
Quenz@reddit
Perfect for my Reaper cosplay.
OneWhoDoesNotFail@reddit (OP)
I was really hoping you actually had cosplayed reaper and went to your profile to check but it's private, I'm sad now.
Quenz@reddit
I have too much facial hair to cosplay.
ilikebeer19@reddit
Where do I get an AIWB holster for it?
