Schneider 11 western account by the way. 2340 miles, 12 hours on duty that week. Let me know if yall are hiring, I run 500+ miles a day with a shitty 65 mph governed truck, based in California.
Zaltizar@reddit
I know that's not over the road
HatedReaper@reddit (OP)
If yall think you're clowns, remember im the real clown who runs hard with Schneider.
GizmoeXhaxX@reddit
Bro, you good?!?!
HatedReaper@reddit (OP)
No, i need a hug, and maybe a roller dog.
Leaf-Stars@reddit
Fuck roller dogs.
Get spicy wings from pilot If you can afford them on that salary.
Aggravating-Run-9444@reddit
Get them buffalo chicken legs at loves, fire
forkystabbyveggie@reddit
All soggy garbage
Woahgold@reddit
“Sorry sir, we don’t put out the roller dogs until noon.”
Unusual-Associate174@reddit
Before noon, we put batter on them and call them pancake rollers. Other than that you'll need to move on to the next stop you've already been here for like 8 and a half hours. Frankly thats that's 45 hours too many. Your violating the basic travel center privileges. Please.🙏 another fat fuck in line trying to buy the same raw roller dogs you're refusing
PrivatePilot9@reddit
You must be going to fancy places. I’ve been to places where the roller dogs have been on since 1985.
ThePr0fessi0nal@reddit
After six hours they legally have to call then wizard fingers.
forkystabbyveggie@reddit
I'd be more disappointed in myself than usual if I had to hear that sentence spoken to me
25_Unknown_Devices@reddit
Bruh if you haven’t, walk in the bitch and get one of the chicken rollers, and a bun. If the bun is cold, heat it up in the microwave for like 10 seconds.
Shits as good as a chicken sandwich
No_Edge_7964@reddit
Oh yeah, another oily glizzy dog down the throat
coyotll@reddit
No rollers here, only wizard fingers
Hot_Occasion2927@reddit
Brother you werent the only one, I started there and galloped at the 1 year mark.
Unusual-Associate174@reddit
You don't even know bro. I used to run family dollar account with schneider, and while this was over ten years ago, at the time they paid me really well imo. I was making .42 cpm plus stop pay (typically 3 to 8 stops on a 2 day route) probably only averaging 1800 miles per week. But I also got unload pay ( fd is all driver unload), extra stop pay for backhauls( which was normal) home every weekend and schneider was always flexible with my home time imo because i ran and worked hard but sure you're experience may vary. I ended up a trainer on the account adding another 100 day a student was on board. Meaning training weeks were nearly 2500 gross as a company driver in the 2014 era. Today I make half that and I've been thinking alot about a shotgun. But I have kids who keep me strong. Im pessimistic but have the will to go forward.
R34CTz@reddit
I remember those days. While my overall experience with them wasn't horrible, their pay is inexcusable.
VGPreach@reddit
Schneider has better accounts my guy
FeistyAd8869@reddit
Try swapping to their local accounts you get paid better and better work life balance. I work for one it’s actually not bad.
True-Yooper@reddit
M-F days here pulling down 1700/week after taxes/deductions hauling fuel in the upper midwest. Get your tanker/hazmat endorsements.
Complex_Case_15@reddit
1700/week is quite amazing. With that amount I would be happy. But how many years of experience? I don't think a rookie can pull those numbers.
True-Yooper@reddit
5 years fuel hauling. Drove public transit for a few years before that.
Complex_Case_15@reddit
Gotcha. So you have some experience under your belt but not a life time. Still impressive. Honestly I feel more motivated now to get my endorsement after hearing this. Hopefully I can find a good company like yourself, I feel like i would be living the dream if I can work and make that much while saving some for a home.
blackmankitteh@reddit
i got in with basically no experience besides being a hostler at a yard. Had to work at the laughingstock company in fuel tho but most of these companies just need to be used for 1 year and then switch to one you like from my experience.
lilkey682@reddit
How many hours do u get a week? I start my fuel job on Monday making $29 an hour. Local, mon-fri. Brand new to cdl a. Only have a couple years of cdl b experience.
True-Yooper@reddit
Summer around 50-55 hours/week. Winter 45 hours/week.
MegaDuck71@reddit
Rage bait?
HatedReaper@reddit (OP)
Nah, legit pay statement.
OrdinaryPitiful@reddit
If you willing to relocate to TN or KY my job is usually hiring its flatbed w conestoga and you could easily take home 2k per week
MegaDuck71@reddit
My question is that OTR?
2k take home after taxes is pretty good. No tarping or OD loads with a conestoga. Seems too good to be true if it’s not OTR. I left OTR a bit ago. Ran a double drop. Now haul chickens for around 1.5k take home.
OrdinaryPitiful@reddit
It depends I consider it regional. I work Tuesday-Saturday. If you want to run a 6th day per week you can but I don’t. I value my time home with my wife and kids. We run pallatized aluminum coils out of Russellville KY. Run days cabs and stay in hotels (you choose from the list on CLC) and if you can get home in the middle of the week you can go home and you get weekends off. Trucks governed at 67 on pedal and 70 on cruise. .73 cents a mile plus the typical accessory pay. There’s guys working 5 and a half days running over 3k miles per week easy. I run about 2600-2800 bc I don’t run nearly as hard lol
rustyspurs87@reddit
Does it require experience? I’m looking to relocate, but I just started with a mega so I have less than a month of experience at the moment.
Different_Mousse_564@reddit
I’m out of Louisiana been thinking of going to Tennessee the market is healthy especially LTL
Feeling_Display8750@reddit
Get 2.5 years experience and go to Walmart lol. Way easier, a lot better money. If that’s awhile for you and you want better pay now and your body is ok, step into food service then hit Walmart asap lol
Sike0001@reddit
lol that’s garbage pay
heroxoot@reddit
Bro I am so sorry. What the hell.
americandoom@reddit
Literally made that in a day in food service last week
Sufficient-Farmer-84@reddit
Notice how he doesn’t answer or show any questions about what those deductions are specifically. . .

Longway23544@reddit
You’re getting Screwed $700 on $1300 gross?
HatedReaper@reddit (OP)
Yeah, insert the clown emoji.
Longway23544@reddit
I didn’t know Cali tax high like that
Stunning_Custard8968@reddit
it’s mostly federal taxes. but that cali tax is a frown as well.
30_characters@reddit
Gotta fund those Hollywood tax breaks somehow!
flergityberg@reddit
It’s like that in Oregon too. Moving over the river to Washington saved me $500 a month in taxes.
TyrannicalKitty@reddit
See my family wants to move to Oregon, I want to move to Arizona. Nevada doesn't have state taxes.
25_Unknown_Devices@reddit
Tennessee doesn’t do the state taxes either.
flergityberg@reddit
Was it a trucking job? You would’ve been on the hook for Oregon taxes no matter your residence unless you worked in interstate commerce, which trucking counts as.
25_Unknown_Devices@reddit
Yeah trucking, full otr
ShoebillJoe@reddit
I just looked up California income tax brackets, and there's no way he's paying more than 8%. I think he pays child support or something.
jjsprat38@reddit
And still no healthcare
unwillingpenguin@reddit
I feel you brother as I live in the California of the Midwest, Illinois, it is painful.
Longway23544@reddit
Illinois isn’t that bad if you got dependents to claim
unwillingpenguin@reddit
Just me, my self, and, I unfortunately.
sstevens805@reddit
It depends on how he has his state and federal deductions set up. He might have taxes set too high and end up with a refund at the end of the year.
CORVlN@reddit
Child support payments kicking like a sensei
Longway23544@reddit
Oh you said California 😬
erything4sale@reddit
Damn son! I make a little less than that in a day. How much experience do you have? Are you home daily? Do you have a big family?
Sea-Bed-1332@reddit
Are you paying back any money you owe to them? Because those deductions are alot
HatedReaper@reddit (OP)
Nope. Came in debt free, don't owe them nothing
LoicenseToGirth@reddit
Are you getting any per diem? Cause I made 1550 gross last week and paid 250 in taxes. Thats WITH me having told them to take an extra 20 for each state and fed withholding.
PraiseTalos66012@reddit
So is it child support or do you have your taxes set up all wrong?
Bc even Cali income tax plus the best premium family healthcare plan doesn't explain those deductions.
ChiHooper@reddit
maybe he's investing into his 401k
truckernate97@reddit
Why do yall go to companies paying so low 😭
bigdawg12342@reddit
Bro I’m on a Walmart account for Schneider. I set my NAT for 10 hours a day I get 300 miles a day and I make the same as you I only work 5 days a week. The money is still terrible even for my schedule
Unfair_Analysis_3734@reddit
I just started with Schneider two months ago. Does the trip planning app actually make a difference in where/when they send you? I slept through training and I get some seriously fucked up timed loads in the wrong direction.
bigdawg12342@reddit
I don’t even know what that is so I’m gonna say it’s useless. For me I just set my NAT and when I wake up the next day dispatch will assign me a load. What’s funny is if I set my time for a full day I might get 250 miles and 7 stops but days where I’ve set it for 8 hours I’ll get more miles and 1-2 stops
Unfair_Analysis_3734@reddit
Hmm I need to play around on my tablet, I thought “set my NAT” was just that annoying step that I always have to click through on the workflows after delivering each load. My planners love to send me 300 miles away in the opposite direction every time when I have like 10 hours left on my 70 and I am supposed to be going home.
Easyfruit123@reddit
Ask for the Home Depot or Costco account , easy money
Limp-Negotiation2296@reddit
you’ll advance and make more money soon. keep going
Hopfrogg@reddit
Does that include a 401k contribution? Hard to believe you're losing that much of your gross without that.
DiegoPapi6@reddit
This is wild & krazy!!! The nerve these big companies keep saying “we have a driver shortage”. They are not even paying half decent 🤣🤣🤣 - that’s the actual problem 😮💨
Bobby_Trucking@reddit
I’m on Schneider regional dedicated account and I drive around 1,000-1,600/week and make around $800-950/week you’re being robbed
Pedialyte1221@reddit
I would leave asap
No_Lake_7445@reddit
Bro ur getting pegged
J_cam202@reddit
Jesus christ brother. You live in Cali? Time to move to a “free state” lol
Toomuchhorntalk69@reddit
lol you get a LOT more freedoms in Cali than you would in a bottom of the barrel red state. Sorry I know i repeated my self there.
mwonch@reddit
Prove it. I want to see examples that your freedoms in Cali are somehow more numerous than mine in Texas. List them, please.
Toomuchhorntalk69@reddit
Consider the mic dropped, trump sucker.
Ogbunabalibali@reddit
Lmao why are you so angry? Stay in your state. We are happy.
Toomuchhorntalk69@reddit
Ignorance is bliss and you are the happiest I’ve ever met.
Ogbunabalibali@reddit
Alright then. Do you own a house? Do You own your own rig?
Toomuchhorntalk69@reddit
I own you.
OwnSea3297@reddit
Ur most likely a homosexual thats the only freedom i can think of in Cali 🤣
Toomuchhorntalk69@reddit
Every accusation is a confession.
dr00020@reddit
Lmao such an irrelevant thing to ask….💀
Ogbunabalibali@reddit
Not really. Its a measurment of prosperity. Which was the point of comparison. I would never live in California. Ever. But im glad people seem to like it. Though the reasons given are silly to me.
dr00020@reddit
Not at all about measurement of two different regions…. He compared Cali freedoms to Texas freedoms, and everything he labeled were freedoms Texas don’t have. And even if he does own a rig or house lmao it doesn’t mean there isn’t more freedoms in cali. Anecdotal experiences aren’t always the reality and/or general narrative.
Ogbunabalibali@reddit
Ok. Make sure you stay in California. We are happy you are there.
dr00020@reddit
Who said I was in or even from California…. Fact is fact and op stated the facts💀😂. Man education in America is sooo behind. Make sure you stay ignorant bless your heart.
Ogbunabalibali@reddit

OrdinaryPitiful@reddit
Hey brother, I think California may have more amenities while a place like Texas is more freeing financially.
Toomuchhorntalk69@reddit
Healthcare & Medicaid: California expanded its Medicaid program under the Affordable Care Act, ensuring low-income residents have state-supported insurance. Texas did not expand Medicaid, resulting in a significantly higher uninsured rate.Reproductive Rights: California explicitly protects abortion access. In contrast, Texas has strict abortion bans and laws that allow private citizens to sue anyone who manufactures, distributes, or aids in the delivery of abortion pills.Consumer Data Privacy: California leads the nation with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), which includes a "private right of action" that allows consumers to directly sue companies over data breaches. Texas data privacy laws are enforced almost entirely by the state Attorney General, and consumers cannot directly sue companies for damages.Worker & Labor Protections: California has strict mandates ensuring paid sick leave, overtime pay, and strict guidelines for employment contracts. Workers in California are also protected by strong state-level equal pay laws, whereas Texas relies more heavily on baseline federal labor standards.
wewanttopleaseu@reddit
None of those are freedoms, they are wealth redistributions forcibly taken by the state with a gun to your head
mwonch@reddit
Well, I agree with you in principle - they are not freedoms, they are priviliges that can go away tomorrow. Nobody had a gun to their head, though.
wewanttopleaseu@reddit
That's a figure of speech. If you don't pay your taxes you go to jail.
mwonch@reddit
Only if the taxes reach a certain amount AND they determine it was done on purpose (fraud) AND the person in question cannot immediately make up the shortfall (in full). It is that way with every taxing body (regardless of the type of tax "missed").
Toomuchhorntalk69@reddit
Oh so you’re like genuinely stupid.
mwonch@reddit
These are not "freedoms." These are privileges that can go away or be changed with just one vote. I grant you that most of these are good things, but if the money runs out they go away or are changed. FREEDOMS are rights and as such would be Constitutional (impossible to eliminate or change at a whim).
Care to try again? I'll be more clear this time: what rights/freedoms does California's constitution guarantee that are better or more numerous than Texas?
Look, the real answer is there are none. We both enjoy the same basic freedoms. Neither is better than the other in that regard. This is required by Federal law in order for any state to remain a member of this union.
Toomuchhorntalk69@reddit
Incorrect. I love winning these arguments against you trump suckers. Byyyyyyyyyye
Fractured-Justice@reddit
No, you don't. Like it's gotten so bad that they charge people when they want to move out of California.
mwonch@reddit
LOL! No they don't. They floated the idea of an Exit Tax (just as Illinois did at one time). But that would be unconstitutional and more than guaranteed a Federal court fight they would immediately lose. There is one entity that CAN charge such fees - the Feds. Why? Because migration is considered a form of trade and controlling domestic trade between the states is solely the domain the Federal government. Even if they can do it, they will never do so without a serious national security reason...because...they want to keep their jobs.
Toomuchhorntalk69@reddit
You’re wrong lol. Poor little Trump sucker.
Fractured-Justice@reddit
First of all, not a trump supporter. I'm just also not retarded enough to think California is a nice place. Like you seem to be and I'm not wrong. They have quite literally been charging people to leave. Cuz it turns out if you run your state shittily enough people start leaving in droves and you're suddenly losing out on all this tax money cuz you also tax the fuck out of everybody who lives there. So they started charging people to leave which is insane.
HatedReaper@reddit (OP)
Can't afford to move with a paycheck like this...

passingrasslawncare@reddit
Should sign up for Schneider per diem lol
HatedReaper@reddit (OP)
They say I don't qualify cause im from California
username_fantasies@reddit
quick google search suggests truck drivers in CA are qualified for per diem.
There's also this.
Check with multiple people at Schneider on that. A lot of times people you talk to at these companies give you very conflicting info and you really need to be pushy with them.
ElectronicGarden5536@reddit
Can you run this by the guy praising california for worker protections in the comments? Hey but at least you get all the medicaid and abortions you want. Ammirite? lol.
passingrasslawncare@reddit
Damn, I work with Schneider as my 1st gig right now, using perdiem I grossed 1221 and took home 1100, I’d be trying to get out of cali quick lmao
wittywillync@reddit
LoL
Exzalian_@reddit
Y'all need to swap careers I don't understand why people stay with trucking anymore unless you got a good job/account it's garbage. Started HVAC last year at 17 an hour now making 25 but with all the overtime I make so much more now then I did trucking working similar hours. Clocking in at 85 hours this week.
iCall_itWhoopieTbh@reddit
it’s all about the company…. i started at 25/hr local on my first cdl. a year later im now at 34.72…. only up from here. if you have to work 85 hours a week to make 100k, you’re getting fucked
Exzalian_@reddit
...... Are you slow? That's literally what I said.
iCall_itWhoopieTbh@reddit
dude you’re working 85 hours a week at 25/hr that’s regarded
Exzalian_@reddit
Obviously you can't read or don't know how OT works. I'm at 25 base then 37.5 OT and I also make bonuses. I'm already at 60k this year. I don't work 80 hour weeks every week only when busy or like this one I took a 200 a day bonus to work out of state for a week. I'm going to be making Around 5k just this week with bonuses and OT. I CHOSE to work 85 hours this week because why not? I like money. Oh also STARTED this job just in January last year and I'm already almost 10 dollars up from where I started by this time next year I'll be at 35 base maybe even more the top pay in HVAC is near 300k so tell me again how you get paid more?
username_fantasies@reddit
Schneider automatically enrolls you in per diem program. Did you opt out?
Seems like with per diem your take home will be higher.
PrinceTeg@reddit
I know this sounds crazy but I know for a fact covenant was running a bunch of team trucks out of California. If that is something you want to do.
I haven't worked there in a while but I know they were running from California to Georgia a lot. They also had a toothpaste lane out of California that was paying stupid money.
ElectronicGarden5536@reddit
Dude i left truck driving for construction. I do 2800 weekly NET as field engineer. Union operators with perdiem make 3000. Sad but "uninformed" people are most often the ones that make the least amount of money.
I used to haul cryogenics for about 2800 to 3000 biweekly. Used that to pay for a technical school/associates degree.
iCall_itWhoopieTbh@reddit
what does a field engineer do?? you got this from a 2yr tech school degree???
ElectronicGarden5536@reddit
You go around making sure plans are executed in real life, do varying levels of management, scheduling, procurement, cost control, qa/qc.
Yes if youre already in the trades or have past experience. Some require an abet accredited "engineering" degree, either EIT or PE, depending on what the "engineer" title means to the company.

Jealous_Canary1879@reddit
Man I researched the 3 big and best out of school companies to get experience with and Schneider just kept coming up as the low baller, but with a good training program and ok equipment. I chose swift because they have contracts with all the krogers in my area for local dedicated and the training terminal is out of Ohio, about a 4hr drive. So I’m out with a mentor for 4-6 weeks and then I’m on a day cab and home every night. Recruiter says guys on the Kroger account are hitting like $1600 a week but I’m gonna take that with a grain of salt and assume it’s more like $1200 a week. They’re short handed on this Kroger account too because a bunch of Indians just got their cdl revoked in Indiana due to the governors executive order.
