I am going on a cruise out of Portsmouth in August and will be arriving in Heathrow 4 days early . Any suggestions for tolaces to see and/or things to do ??

Have you visited London before? You could see a lot of the main sites in 3 days, assuming you need one day to travel and be in Portsmouth ahead of getting the cruise.
What kinds of things interest you? Londons got a lot to offer but depends what you’re into? Museums, galleries, food places, general sight seeing, history, music, theatre?

I have 6 days before my cruise leaves…. 4 days before my friends meet me. I have never been anywhere over seas. I’m open to anything but I love music, a dive bar and/or pool hall. Trying to get a little taste of everything .

You could fit loads in! If you love music I’d check out who is playing in London while you’re over, there’s so many venues if you check ticket master or See tickets and search across London, depending on when you’re visiting there will be outdoor shows too.
You could do a general tour of all the major London sights, there’s plenty of ideas for a four day itinerary- just to start you off?

Virtually all the major museums are free and all worth a visit, you could do a good tour or there’s loads of walking tours too with different themes.

Windsor castle is near Heathrow. About the best persevered castle anywhere (because we pay for it!)

Spend the night in Portsmouth before you board your ship, and visit the hovercraft museum.

Come to Portsmouth and hang out here. It's a great city. Lots of history. Plenty of independent shops on Albert road. See if there's any little gigs at the Wedgewood rooms.

Thorpe park is in the area, same for Kew gardens.
Take a day in the big smoke for the touristy fun and the royal navy museum once you are on the coast
