My g20.5 hot loads broke mine but, Streamlight repaired it and returned my cerakoted TLR-1 in working order. 9.5/10. I do take the light off at the range now.
It’s for bear country and I’ll only be using it w/ the light attached during an emergency situation. I’ve had great reliable experience with the X300 but use like something a bit shorter.
I have a 1+ watt purple laser. It sets shit on fire from a few feet away. I use it to scare the coyotes from a long distance, and also set shit on fire. I’ve been working on a rifle mount for it and a grip trigger…
Be careful where you say things like that. Oh, nvm, you’re safe in this sub.
I’ve got like 4 olight pistol lights that I’ve beat to shit over the last 5 years and I’ve never had a single issue with any of them. Sucks they discontinued the PL Turbo, which was by far their best one IMO. I still stay far away from their rifle lights tho
I don't know about pistol lights as I've never had a Streamlight, but every Streamlight handheld I've owned has been unreliable. I have some Surefire flashlights that are old enough to drink that I've abused the heck out of and still work, though. One of them I use every day at work and it's been used as a hammer, an impromptu dive light, been on deployment, dropped it from
Meh. I had a TLR-1 on my duty gun for the longest time, shit would always wanna flicker or lose battery life right as I cross the threshold to clear a house. I switched to a modlite and although I hate the switch with an actual passion, I like it waaaayyy more than my TLR-1.
I have a harbor freight flashlight I picked up at the counter mounted on my shotgun, it was a $1.99. It’s an old 500 and has an old mount for a paddle light that quit working.

i specifically run range ammo to use the muzzle flash as a light.

Just tape a full-size maglite to your pistols. Superior illumination.

X300U doesn't have enough candela, and the newer turbo version has too much. TLR1 HL has the perfect candela.

Jokes on you, the TLR1HL and HLX is brighter than the sun…

those words are long and dumb. Tlr1 work better

Man I got me one of those too. Bought it at a airsoft store in 2015. Still works with the original battery.

I’ve never seen a Streamlight survive a low light class without flickering or straight up dying. I’ve seen an x300 die too tho
SgtBigPigeon@reddit
I remembered I had an olight in the back of my closet that I bought in 2020. It still works!

See I’ve had the opposite experience. Streamlight is the only pistol light I’ve never had issues with.
this is a good video tho

Times like these it pays to have worked at a gun shop. I think I got an X300U for like $240.
