The fact that it flies at all is insane, an affront to the physics gods and a monument to the hubris of man, and I mean all this in the best possible way
Not sure if what I'm seeing is correct, but is those air clouds behind the starboard outer propeller being churned around by said propeller about six seconds in?
Yes, that's the whole point of OP posting the video. That's vapor condensation caused by low pressure in the vortices trailing from the propeller tips.
I love watching the Super Guppy takeoff… But that pan over to the line of little guys waiting to take off is fun as well. That DC 3 looks like a mama duck in a giant brood of ducklings.
This has to be Oshkosh… I’ve always wanted to go and just reading about the traffic management plans they have in place is always fascinating. Getting several thousand planes in and out of one location of the course of a few days is an amazing accomplishment.

Every time I hear "Super Guppy" my brain follows it with this sound

The fact this thing still flies is insane. Love it

We would watch them fly over our elementary school in Long Beach during the Apollo years, we would all point in the sky and yell "pregnant guppy!".

The most adorable plane that ever flew

How many aircraft are holding in queue ? and is there a random C47 there waiting ?
BorisLordofCats@reddit
Oshkosh probably. That would explain the line and the C-47 in the line
ICPcrisis@reddit
Im running low on fuel just looking at that !
Netolu@reddit
Oshkosh for certain, you can see the yellow dot.

Surprised the budget airlines don't have some of those for pax stacking cheap seats with no windows.
AlphSaber@reddit
They would need to first pressurize the hull, as it currently is the cargo area is unpressurized.

It looks so derpy lol.

Looks like a Kerbel build lol.

This was at EAA a few years ago. The biggest gathering of airplanes (all types) there is.
bacondesign@reddit
No, the Super Guppy is based on the Boeing 377 Stratocruiser that uses P&W Wasp Major radial prop engines.

I love the line of little planes and then there is this massive C-47 in the back like "How do you do, fellow kids?"

It is Oshkosh.
FLMILLIONAIRE@reddit
That's so bad since it creates wake turbulence drag etc they need to change the prop design
ElectricalHotel538@reddit
I like that the mama plane has all its kids in a nice row to practice their take offs

A modified ground attack super guppy, with a single Saturn V S-IV-B stage as the payload. You just know it'll be an event vehicle.
