And that's why I never change my tyres

Tires are made from oil lol
PalmTheProphet@reddit
Not that I support what these ppl are doing but did you know tyres make up close to 30% of all microplastic sources?
mbron163@reddit
Don’t they know that making tires is resource intensive including heavy water usage? They are literally hurting the environment.
captaincw_4010@reddit
Pretty sure they just let the air out of the tires
CrazyElk123@reddit
So now you have to drive unsafely to nearest petrol station to fill up. Well done of them...
captaincw_4010@reddit
That'd be unlawful on the driver as they'd know they're causing unsafe road conditions. Really they should be calling roadside assistance to fill up their tires or ask a friend to bring one of those portable air pumps
kiakosan@reddit
Heaven forbid someone has an emergency and are now stuck because some fuck Cars nitwit things they are saving the trees. People who do this sort of thing deserve jail time
captaincw_4010@reddit
Eh the US already incarcerates the highest per capita of any county we don't need even more in jail when real hardened criminals are out there
kiakosan@reddit
Nah, this deserves jail time. It is destruction of property and I'd also consider it politically motivated/terrorism modifier
captaincw_4010@reddit
What a drama queen it's a deflated tire, a deflated tire
kiakosan@reddit
What your not getting is that, what might be a minor inconvenience to you, may create a dangerous scenario to someone else. Someone may not notice the tire and keep driving and create an accident. They might not have a phone with Internet access or enough charge to call someone. They could be trying to flee a stalker only to find that some punk decided to disable their vehicle for the lols.
All this does is make regular people less friendly to whatever environmental movement your trying to support. Not everyone has AAA or time as well as cash on hand to get a tow truck. This type of action will radicalize more people against your movement than otherwise.
If you really want to target the worst polluters, you would be going against big businesses and cruise ships. Instead of doing that, your going against regular people
CrazyElk123@reddit
Yeah i agree, just saying many wont do that though.
AlphaMassDeBeta@reddit (OP)
I'm gonna fill my tyres with co2 then.
soiboi64@reddit
Mine are filled with nitrogen. It's what tires crave
MasterofLego@reddit
Mine are also filled with nitrogen
But also every other gas air is made of
PutHisGlassesOn@reddit
Look at this soyboy manlet using CO2 because he doesn’t have enough testosterone to fill them with cum
KyuremFan646@reddit
i don't think that'd work all too well...
ByteWhisperer@reddit
Pressure is pressure. Doesn't matter where it comes from (except for the extra mass)
poor_andy@reddit
that's how you get cum crystals
spiritofporn@reddit
Why no zyklon B?
UnsureAndUnqualified@reddit
Go for H2. It's lighter so you burn less fuel and if we're lucky, you might get the Hindenburg Experience.
Reading_username@reddit
Hotwheels
nanneryeeter@reddit
CO2 for tire fill is pretty common for off-road vehicles.
Zharken@reddit
fill them with CO
Tuarangi@reddit
Ones in the UK slash or drill holes in them, targeting private cars or dealerships
PI-E0423@reddit
For many tires this is the end as they are structurally compromused after being deflated
UsErNaMeS_aR_DuMb@reddit
Because they, alongside those douchenozzles who block roads and graffiti shit, are just industry plants to make environmentalists seem like obnoxious pieces of shit.
StrawberryWide3983@reddit
Weren't the "just stop oil" people funded by an actual oil heiress?
Setekh79@reddit
I still believe that was a campaign to make all eco mentalists look like fringe extremists.
CygnusSong@reddit
I have a person conspiracy theory that the “crazy conspiracy theorist” media archetype has been spread deliberately to make people less likely to investigate and speak out about the conspiracies that regularly take place around us
popopornado@reddit
For every 10 crazy, cheese-brained conspiracies there is one fully true and real one.
For every “faked moon landing” there is 1/10 of a Tiananmen Square.
Axe-actly@reddit
But we have actual evidence for Tiananmen.
SpaceBug176@reddit
And we did nothing about it.
PiscesSoedroen@reddit
and we have an entire country of people who live without knowing that it was real
Aerhyce@reddit
Always have been
Conspiracy theory that the US capitalised hard on 9/11 to introduce privacy-invading laws such as the PATRIOT Act and reduce freedoms? Believable, reasonable.
Completely derailed by nonsense like "jet fuel can't melt steel beams", "CIA planted explosives in the foundations", "lizardmen did it", etc. which made completely bombed any and all 9/11 conspiracy theories from being taken seriously.
Icy-Cup@reddit
My line of thought mostly - but one question kinda makes this uncomfortable to me. What about pentagon and wtc7?
Both official explanations are… super weird.
outer_spec@reddit
Yeah but she’s like, a rebel oil heiress who hates her family’s legacy or some shit
Tuarangi@reddit
Aileen Getty is an oil heiress but has publicly at least been opposed to oil firms and her family business. She has funded the US Climate Emergency Fund since she founded it in 2019 as well as funding UK groups like Just Stop Oil. If she was just a plant to make them seem bad, she's playing a very long game. Over here JSO just throw coloured corn flour on stuff and sit in the road, not the ones who slash tyres
Check_Me_Out-Boss@reddit
She's anti oil.
5Hjsdnujhdfu8nubi@reddit
So because she got her money from oil she can't be against its usage?
The100courts@reddit
Yup
Interesting_Age_7067@reddit
Or another Russian false flag operation: https://www.dw.com/en/germany-police-suspect-russia-behind-car-vandalism/a-71517942
5Hjsdnujhdfu8nubi@reddit
They aren't industry plants.
Just Stop Oil have protested outside company headquarters and blocked oil terminals across the UK.
But do you ever hear about those from the major headlines? No, because then the media might convince people they have a point. Instead only the "crazy" things they do get all the attention.
ifunnywasaninsidejob@reddit
Yes! Same with the paper straws! They took the one plastic product with the. most important/least material and gaslit us all into thinking it was the problem.
AlphaMassDeBeta@reddit (OP)
I guess it also boosts tyre sales.
bqiipd@reddit
Casually wastes 29 perfectly good lentils
DripRoast@reddit
Wait. Are they just letting the air out of the tires, or actually damaging them? That's an important distinction given the context. Letting the air out of tires is a dick thing to do, but the environmental impact of that lame act of protest would be next to nil.
Tuarangi@reddit
I've seen reports in the UK of tyre slashing or drilling, not just letting air down, one lot of idiots did it to an EV SUV which shows how highly regarded they are
ROPROPE@reddit
Shrug. EVs aren't that far from gas vehicles, they still contribute to road dust which is arguably even worse for the environment than exhaust gases. Plus, yanno, noise pollution and car centric infra and shit.
Tuarangi@reddit
I agree on the dust especially the PM2 particles from rubber but ICE do that too, EV at least you have no fuel burning just to drive it and they can be charged using solely green methods
ROPROPE@reddit
They both suck even if one sucks less than the other.
You know what also runs on green fuel but also produces minimal particulate pollution? A bike.
Thomas_633_Mk2@reddit
They do contribute somewhat via tyre/wind noise but arguably the single defining trait of an EV drivetrain is they're nearly silent
ROPROPE@reddit
At low speeds, yeah. At higher speeds most of the noise is wind resistance anyway.
ListlessLink@reddit
They state they just deflate them, but ive heard people complain they cut off stems or slash tires, so who know if they all follow the same rules
CrazyElk123@reddit
We should damage, im sorry, deflate these people.
Interesting_Age_7067@reddit
I can't speak on this specific incident but Russia has carried out a very similar false flag operation in Germany last year: https://www.dw.com/en/germany-police-suspect-russia-behind-car-vandalism/a-71517942
So everyone who's raging at this, you might be getting played.
Trooper501@reddit
Yeah fuck the common people who have little impact on the environment compared to the really rich folks. That show them.
DrTinyNips@reddit
I got a ban once for explaining the repercussions i would exact on these kind of people if i caught them doing that to my car. I won't be explaining it this time but my opinion hasn't changed.
AlphaMassDeBeta@reddit (OP)
I would fuck them in the ass untill their asshole looks like a baby yawning.
DrTinyNips@reddit
Man, I didn't even say anything edgy, honestly it was pretty tame
Adept-Platypus6676@reddit
Another Oil Companies psy op
Solar_RaVen@reddit
Riiiiight, you're going to destroy someone's tires, which will make them buy more tires, which signals a supplier that theres demand for more tires, which increases the production of tires, which uses more fossil fuel material and resources...
All because you want to save the environment from companies that use resources according to demand?
DeepQueen@reddit
They don't like sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere
ilikecars2345678@reddit
Maybe we should push these people down hills
WhateverWhateverson@reddit
I don't often wish harm on others, but people like this deserve to get caught in the act, and have a few teeth scattered on the pavement
Coakis@reddit
>Damage something that consumes a not insignificant amount of petrol to replace.
>Tires get replaced burning petrol and the result is just people who now won't empathize with you.
