I don't mind getting older but I find when millennials talk like zoomers its really pathetic , just act your age and stay true to your own era and let the kids have their fun.
If you where born in 1995 you likely would have a mobile phone as a child, you would have a smartphone as a teenager, and have used PCs as an integral part of your education - having done the majority of your exams on PCs. Your entertainment and passtime activity is increasingly likely to be based around computers and games - obviously also existed earlier but no where near the same level.
If you where born in 2000 that is an experience basically the same, if you where born in 1989, well most likely you wouldn't have gotten a mobile phone before you where a teenager and a smartphone at the earliest as an adult. Much more of your exams would have been done by hand, esp in public school, you where more likely to have your past time activity revolve around sports.
This is all just speculated and not backed up by stats or data.
Also saying this as someone born in 93, people born in 89 DEFINITELY had computers during their education. How far removed from reality are you? Millennials grew up with technology, you're thinking about Gen X.
Gen Z is literally an American generation/concept.
Its used across the west, its not uniquely American.
Yeah, now. "Now". That has nothing to do with people who graduated highschool 12-18 years ago.
I used Laptops through my entire high school time, I'm born in 1996, with the exception of math my public school exams (around 2012) also where on the computer if it was a writing assignment. Laptops where also increasingly a used tool through out my school years. I left high school about 9-10 years ago now, and most of my peers my age in my country did so between 8 and 11 years ago.
I think right now you are actually pointing out just how different the 3 years between us are.
That's true I guess but anyone under 25 kinda seems like a adolescent to me , your brain finishes developing at that time and you feel mad mature being a big 20 year old but when you reflect back in later years you can see how immature you really are.

That was what Roblox used to be back in the day actually. I found Roblox in 2008 and started using it as just a virtual space to hang out and chat with friends I had made in the game over time and our most popular games were just worlds we built that were like a mall, a house, a clubhouse, a small castle with TVs n shit in it etc. We basically never played actual games we just built a virtual space and then hung out talking in it for hours lol
Yeah it's old man lol it basically had a hige makeover where they murdered its original identity of legitimately being a LEGO-style social game and made it to where it's just like a sus game platform now lmao it really makes me sad because it used to have personality and be genuinely fun and safe, and now it's just full of microtransactions and kiddy diddlers

Only thing possibly worse is seeing cars newer than the year I was born talked about as classics.
I had that happened. This guy had an old Toyota Corolla, probably a 92' or so, that was just prestine. I was like oh shit that was the family car and eventually my car! -license plate says "Classic Vehicle"-
Oh no...
my kids play these sometimes. they’re basically interactive “capitalism” style clicked games with rng prizes here and there so you get really good really fast. it keeps you invested easily for a while. absolute shit games overall of course tho
Thats kinda the point. Origin is when a stereotypical middle school boy with ice cream hair shouted that part of the lyrics randomly so people started satirizing it.
67 does have context, it was a song by skrilla which was then parodied by nba players (no idea why) which was then turned into a bunch of clips people would see on the internet and said clips would get parodied by streamers and the likes.
6 7 does have context, but its now on the stage of people referencing it as a parody so the context isn't really required
Just like 21, there was a time when people just said "21" without any context, parodying that meme which also upsets older generation. Theres also a lot more to why people find it funny, just watch etymology nerd's video about it for a brief explanation
Okay. We had E. We had 21. We had Amogus. We had Uganda Knuckles. We had a lot of variety, but what made it interesting, is how we used it.
"You stub your toe at 2am, looking for water" E
"Look, a mailbox!" AMOGUS
9+10=21 became so popular, it pretty much became a fact that it was 21 for a year. That's what made it funny. It's wrong but everyone says that it's right.
But... What the fuck is 67? There is no way to use it. It's just a number. What the fuck is skibidi toilet? Head in a toilet is funny, but the way it was used was obnoxious.
It is.. literally... fucking brainrot. You turn off your brain. You're viewing epilepsy content. You feel your brain actively trying to process the information, and failing, and keep getting new information. I was a kid too, once... and man. Even when I was a kid, I would run away from this brainshot bs. The world is just getting dumber.
The funny part is that I used to play Gmod and TF2 alot and that's why I enjoy Skibidi Toilet. It's just an evolution of all the source filmmaker memes.
I watched the Skibidi Toilet series in its entirely. It's oddly enchanting. There's a plot, there's running gags, there's callbacks, it tries to keep things fresh, etc. It has the same DNA as all those Garry's Mod videos I watched long ago.
People should be careful that they don't become the kinds of adults that looked down on Millenial humor. Embrace the brainrot.
I thought I'd feel worse aging out of the cultural Zeitgeist and all this shit, but I really don't. Our random shit was easy fucking cooler than this ADHD mental illness masquerading as memes.
The most amazing thing to see is now that Millennials are stuck between boomers and the cringiest generations ever, we can see how fucking stupid they all are. At least the younger generations have the excuse that they're still young and fucking stupid, but looking at the boomers in charge of the country and heads of big corporations have meltys because someone said mean things about them and they can't refute it is pathetic.
I can only hope we start to change the system and implement harsher punishments for white collar crime. I don't think it'll happen, but man am I hoping.
All of those memes were complete brainrot too, from my perspective they're exactly as dumb as skibiti toilet or 6 7. I bet people older than me think that All Your Base are Belong to Us, Heyayayayyah, Potion Seller, and all the other memes I loved from the 00s and early 10s are equally as brainrot.
Pyro did a good video on this, the brain rot of the past was basically just as bad with the caveat that short form content wasn’t prevalent and hadn’t rotted everyone’s brains away yet.
Like the MLG edits were just as dumb and brainrotted as memes that are prevalent now
I can’t tell if you’re kidding because that is all the same exact shit and I have never heard of any of it despite being online and playing games the last 20 years.
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too
Internet is an endless iceberg. You could be in a place of your peers playing your favorite kind of shit, unaware of the existence of Roblox at all and that somewhere nearby a huge number of people are playing Brainrot or whatever.
Roblox developer here: Not all Roblox games are this bad, there are smaller communities (mainly RP communities) targeted at an older audience, such as the ancient genre, the community I’m mainly active in.
In my 12 years on the platform, I have not come across a child predator on one occasion. The purported problem of child predators on Roblox is overblown by YouTubers like Ruben Sim (which, if you didn’t know, has zero experience developing games on Roblox, and who was banned off the platform after he made a bomb threat on a Roblox office).
I also love how you’ve assumed I make brainrot turds. I do not, the ancient genre is targeted at an older audience, and it is actually quite ambitious, targeted at recreating the Mediterranean during classical antiquity. Indeed, our budgets can go into the tens of thousands of dollars, and these sorts of games are only possible on Roblox, due to how expensive it would be to create such a vast multiplayer game on UE5, alongside the problem of acquiring the community needed for such a game on UE5.
The purported problem of child predators on Roblox is overblown by YouTubers
Roblox literally invited one of the more prominent predators to dev for an official event. The condo problem is so bad that other platforms like Discord have had to take steps to mitigate it.
Legit question, why not do that somewhere else? Like plenty of games have tools built in to do RP stuff, why pick the game solely marketed towards kids?
There's not really any other game that has the complete freedom of easy character customization tools as roblox, that's also free, free for developers to host servers and private servers, and lets the developers earn money. And even if all those stars aligned, it probably isn't as popular. There's nowhere else to really get consistent quality public rp with completely different people each time you get on. I reccomend checking out something like Pine Ridge if you get the chance, really great stuff.
“I used to be with it… but then they changed what ‘it’ was… Now what I’m with isn’t ‘it’, and what’s ‘it’ seems weird and scary to me! And it’ll happen to you…”

my kids play these sometimes. they’re basically interactive “capitalism” style clicked games with rng prizes here and there so you get really good really fast. it keeps you invested easily for a while. absolute shit games overall of course tho
stop_talking_you@reddit
everyone look a shit parent here
JimboLimbo07@reddit
Wow,this guy's kids play Roblox. Shaking and crying rn
LevelsOfCocaineBrain@reddit
South Park is literally the only thing keeping me from knowing my 6 year old isn’t speaking a foreign language at me.
darcymiller02@reddit
6 7 was the first one for me ngl , even tho it’s a carbon copy of the 9+10=21 meme from like 2016
chomusuke_cat@reddit
the 21 meme at least makes some sense. It's basically just making fun of a kid who can't do math. 6 7 has no context and is completely absurd/random.
unkountoyou@reddit
It’s from a song so it has some refrence at least
Neomataza@reddit
I don't know at which point referencing something became a substitute for being funny, but I recognize it's a lot easier to achieve.
FailureToReason@reddit
What's the song?
Worthy_Assassin@reddit
Doot Doot (6 7) by Skrilla
FailureToReason@reddit
Yikes.
Ill_Dependent_4165@reddit
Thats kinda the point. Origin is when a stereotypical middle school boy with ice cream hair shouted that part of the lyrics randomly so people started satirizing it.
unkountoyou@reddit

mrstorydude@reddit
67 does have context, it was a song by skrilla which was then parodied by nba players (no idea why) which was then turned into a bunch of clips people would see on the internet and said clips would get parodied by streamers and the likes.
67 is a chain of parodies basically.
PiscesSoedroen@reddit
now it has its own parody which somehow managed to find some success (61)
redditurus_est@reddit
6 1 gaaaaaang
IdioticZacc@reddit
6 7 does have context, but its now on the stage of people referencing it as a parody so the context isn't really required
Just like 21, there was a time when people just said "21" without any context, parodying that meme which also upsets older generation. Theres also a lot more to why people find it funny, just watch etymology nerd's video about it for a brief explanation
-NH2AMINE@reddit
Just took a look , it seems like pokemon and gambling mixed together + micro transactions
AmbitionOfPhilipJFry@reddit
Kinda hilarious title, it's openly bragging about stealing micros from brainrotted kids.
ImmaFukinDragon@reddit
Okay. We had E.
The world is just getting dumber.
stop_talking_you@reddit
uganda knuckles come from twitch and forsen
urnangay420blazeit@reddit
This is just your perspective on these jokes being different as you age.
6 7 comes from a song ffs.
Let’s not pretend E wasn’t as bad if not worse than 6 7.
Skibidi toilet or however you spell it isn’t worse than Ugandan Knuckles ffs.
You are just older now
locoyt@reddit
Everything you said sounds like brainrot to me. It's just your turn to age out of it.
ImmaFukinDragon@reddit
Alright.. I guess it's time.. I must stay relevant. I must stay young. I mustn't forget the small me.
Time to watch Skibidi Toilet the series in its entirety. I must laugh at 67 whenever I see it. I must.. join the dark side.
ManBeSerious@reddit
skibidi toilet isnt even popular anymore, you neeed to catch up grandpa
propdynamic@reddit
The funny part is that I used to play Gmod and TF2 alot and that's why I enjoy Skibidi Toilet. It's just an evolution of all the source filmmaker memes.
CustardBoy@reddit
I watched the Skibidi Toilet series in its entirely. It's oddly enchanting. There's a plot, there's running gags, there's callbacks, it tries to keep things fresh, etc. It has the same DNA as all those Garry's Mod videos I watched long ago.
People should be careful that they don't become the kinds of adults that looked down on Millenial humor. Embrace the brainrot.
MyDogIsDaBest@reddit
Neither-Phone-7264@reddit
fuuuck we're becoming the millenials now aren't we
Strangegary@reddit
Im older than you and all' of these were brainrot for me. It's not every children that is dumber, you are getting older.
spiritofporn@reddit
I have no idea what your talking about. Seems all brainrot to me.
theyeshman@reddit
All of those memes were complete brainrot too, from my perspective they're exactly as dumb as skibiti toilet or 6 7. I bet people older than me think that All Your Base are Belong to Us, Heyayayayyah, Potion Seller, and all the other memes I loved from the 00s and early 10s are equally as brainrot.
darcymiller02@reddit
Pyro did a good video on this, the brain rot of the past was basically just as bad with the caveat that short form content wasn’t prevalent and hadn’t rotted everyone’s brains away yet.
Like the MLG edits were just as dumb and brainrotted as memes that are prevalent now
GobiPLX@reddit
I know you are right, but hearing that hurts my soul :(
Not my mlg edits...

I can’t tell if you’re kidding because that is all the same exact shit and I have never heard of any of it despite being online and playing games the last 20 years.

Internet is an endless iceberg. You could be in a place of your peers playing your favorite kind of shit, unaware of the existence of Roblox at all and that somewhere nearby a huge number of people are playing Brainrot or whatever.
ilikebarbiedolls32@reddit
Roblox developer here: Not all Roblox games are this bad, there are smaller communities (mainly RP communities) targeted at an older audience, such as the ancient genre, the community I’m mainly active in.
Me278950@reddit
Okay roblox developer..... can you explain why roblox is protecting paedophiles on the platform and why they dont seem to care about it?
Horry43@reddit
Develop a real game, for the sake of the children.
ilikebarbiedolls32@reddit
MonkeManWPG@reddit
Roblox literally invited one of the more prominent predators to dev for an official event. The condo problem is so bad that other platforms like Discord have had to take steps to mitigate it.

awol5545@reddit
Legit question, why not do that somewhere else? Like plenty of games have tools built in to do RP stuff, why pick the game solely marketed towards kids?
XxJayJay62xX@reddit
There's not really any other game that has the complete freedom of easy character customization tools as roblox, that's also free, free for developers to host servers and private servers, and lets the developers earn money. And even if all those stars aligned, it probably isn't as popular. There's nowhere else to really get consistent quality public rp with completely different people each time you get on. I reccomend checking out something like Pine Ridge if you get the chance, really great stuff.
