Is there anywhere left in the world that doesn't hate Americans and still has compassion and respect for others?

I can't take the cruelty and hatred anymore. Is there a country in existence who cares for its people, has equal rights for all humans regardless of gender, gender identity, religion, ethnicity, or LGBTQI+ status that doesn't hate Americans? I want my existence and taxes to go to a government that does far more good than it does harm. I am willing to do the research on if I am eligible to move to any country (or countries) that fit these criteria.

They think you are intellectually challenged with electing people like bush or trump! They are not wrong!
After living 10 years in the United Satan of MuriKKKa, I think all the negative stereotypes about americans are true!
Team503@reddit
No one hates Americans wholesale. Calm down.
Catcher_Thelonious@reddit
Maybe North Korea, but that's whipped up by the regime.

Fair. :)

Costa Rica is probably your best bet

Which is ironic considering American digital nomads somehow managed to gentrify most of the country.
jebix666@reddit
Amazing considering a digital nomad visa holders can only stay for a max of two years.
estrea36@reddit
Hopefully the locals don't freak out like the Portuguese and Spanish who protested.
brass427427@reddit
They are protesting the fact that the digital nomads, working foreign companies that often pay higher wages, are pricing the locals out of the real estate market. I can understand that.
estrea36@reddit
That's why I brought up gentrification.
brass427427@reddit
I guessed from your context that gentrification was seen as a positive thing, even by people whose lives it makes miserable. A lot of people see it as an invasion.
estrea36@reddit
Gentrification is rarely a positive. Maybe if you're a real estate investor it can be.
brass427427@reddit
Absolutely.

Unless believe in a woman’s right to her own body..
jebix666@reddit
They just legalized it for emergencies. At least they are moving forward, not backward like the US. No place is perfect.
No-Country6348@reddit
It’s a start but not even close to enough for bodily autonomy.
jebix666@reddit
Well thats a decision for OP to make, right?
There are pros and cons to moving anywhere. I just gave a suggestion, I do not agree with that specific policy myself but when you are weighing your options it is one of the better choices.

I really only find cruelty and hatred at home (the US). People hate Trump and most hate "obnoxious" Americans or MAGA dopes but otherwise I've found compassion in all of my travels.
brass427427@reddit
And boy, is there a lot of it. I have never seen such a huge number of angry - hateful, really - people. It is a real shame. You don't see it on a day-to-day basis, but scratch the surface ... wow.
brass427427@reddit
I'm trying to think of one. I think most people feel sorry for Americans at the moment, as long as they don't talk about politics. Then it becomes annoying. I think it's fair to say that most nations find the present US political situation somewhere between comical and frightening, with a general median measure of pitiful.
The average person in the street will say nothing, but believe me, they are thinking it. I say this because I have a large number of friends who have asked me, "WTF is your country doing?" We know each other well enough that they feel comfortable asking this, so it is my assumption that a lot of others think the same, but say nothing.
Catcher_Thelonious@reddit
There is no utopia, I'm afraid.
YetAnotherGuy2@reddit
Hate is an overstatement, unless you are taking North Korea or so.
Most people do make a difference between the people and it's government, simply because they know they don't want to be judged by their government.
Even when I was in Russia back in 2018, the people said "you're ok for an American". I realize it seems incredibly patronizing but the point is that even a country with almost 100 years of anti-Americanism people are mostly willing to meet other people on their terms.
Yes, there are ignorant fucks all over the world and yes, some cultures have different values. No, not all of them are LGBT+ friendly. Guy your smallest problem is being American.

We dont hate Americans except Trump and his acolytes

My husband and I moved to Costa Rica in January. Life couldn't be more different here
Sea-Ad-9677@reddit
These type of posts are so lame. Who is hating and bothering you in the US?
nomchompsky82@reddit
I haven’t been anywhere that, as a whole, hates Americans, that’s to say overtly hostile, or even mildly antagonistic (this of course does not include countries that are experiencing systemic issues as a direct result of American interference). The vast majority of people are more than capable of separating people from their governments and, in my experience, (as an American that travels six months out of any given year, and lives in Mexico when not traveling, and has done so for 13 years) Americans tend to be the worst offenders when it comes to conflating people with their government.
As far as your other question, finding a truly ethical, egalitarian government that merits your tax money…. That’s a tough one. The fact is nearly everyone has biases and prejudices, and I’d struggle to come up with a government that isn’t at least a bit corrupt. Bhutan maybe?
People are people pretty much everywhere you go, that’s the thing. It’s about finding a place where you can make a good life for yourself and do your best for those around you, hard to realistically expect more, honestly.

I’m an American who emigrated to Sweden eight years ago. I have experienced absolutely zero hatred here related to my country of origin and I suspect the same is true of the other Nordic countries.
As for rights I don’t think there is any country that is perfect in this regard — there will always be at least a few people who are bigots, bullies or misinformed — but I’d say overall it is pretty good here.

In Ireland they make fun of Americans a lot, but there isn't really any hate
