People who sleep with the bedroom window open even in winter. Why?

In summer I get it. But winter I don't understand why.

Invest in c02 monitor for those that say they get headaches when windows closed,
AcanthisittaFlaky385@reddit
I would've said carbon monoxide monitor as you tend to get "unexplained" headaches...from intial exposure. Good thing gas smells.

No co2 monitor is right

It’s CO Detector actually. CO is the result of incomplete combustion of fuels. Co2 is the complete combustion of fuels. However you should have both, CO detector near gas appliances and co2/smoke alarm away from the kitchen due to cooking

Yep, one office had 10 people with no AC and windows barely opened. By late afternoon some people felt groggy. With a c02 monito, the c02 levels were stupidly high in the afternoon!

My old school had the carbon monoxide at 4000 PPM AND ONLY OPENED THE WINDOW ENOUGH FOR A FLY TO GET THROUGH AND ON TOP OF THAT 4 PEOPLE IN THE ROOM HAD ASTHMA

Idk I just love it I have the fan on full blast in my window then my fingers get stiff and I can’t even type on my phone anymore and then my cat snuggles with me under the blanket and it just feels great on sore bones especially if u worked out or something during the day plus it helps me sleep thru the night when it’s warm I toss and turn a lot I also might have carpool tunnel syndrome in my hands from school and holding my phone awkward so maybe that’s why lol 👁️👄👁️
(No I will not add punctuation ✨)

I’m hot natured and like the cold

My mum does this. I think she's insane. She says she likes it being cold outside of bed but snuggling up under a duvet all nice and warm.
I struggle to warm up when its so cold, and find it difficult to get out of bed and get dressed in the morning. I like to be temperate.

The blanket feels soo good after a long day of walking in the cold so I preserve that feeling for as long as I can by opening the window the max

I need fresh air when I sleep. My SO thought I was completely insane the first winter we were together. Now he’s used to it and has actually come around to liking it.

Ever try a dutch oven inflicted by yourself upon yourself? I love causing myself to go into a dutch oven at night, especially after horrible food combining and some cheesey fries :-)

Need cold to sleep, like the fresh air. Though I will admit getting out from under the duvet in the morning is a challenge.
InitialPlantain2778@reddit
I have a radiator and a throw blanket next to my bed so if it's like 3 degrees I just throw the blanket on and close the window

It takes me at least 4 hours to fall asleep with a closed window And I struggle to breathe without it plus I live in a rural area of Scotland so the air is crisper than a deep fried baby
EricaB59@reddit
I feel a cooling numbing against the back from the breezes of cold air which help with endorphins. 😀

How did I think I was the only one that did this?! Yeah it’s for fresh air, my nose gets clogged up more often than not without it open. I sleep SO much better. Less headaches.

If you have both your bedroom window and bedroom door closed, unless you have a 24/7 ventilation system in your house (rare in Europe) then you will have very poor ventilation in your bedroom. All the water vapour you’re breathing out will accumulate in the room and by the morning the humidity will be hitting 70-75% (anything above 60% is harmful to human health). You really want to be breathing in the same stale air all night long? That’s nasty. It’s also bad for your health and will ruin your sleep quality. Open the window and throw on extra blankets if you’re cold, your body will thank you for it.

I love the fresh air!
