Hi so my 1440p monitor got BLB and IPS Glow that got worsen over time in a span of 3 months so I have to send it for warranty repair and I have no extra Monitor only my 4k TV at the Living room, And I have no idea how long is my monitor would be in the service center and I got no extra cash to spend on another monitor unfortunately
I used to play PS4 on that TV before changing to a PC system, my question is can I use it as a monitor? I'm asking before I do all the work of pulling my PC and peripherals as it is in my room and putting it in the living room
My specs is
5700x3d
RX 7900 GRE
32gb 3200 mhz

I have been using a "gamer" Tv for Over 2 years, cant go back to monitors. So yes, in your case It should Work Fine on HDMI, maybe the refresh rate will be unpleasant at first but its a more immersive experience overall. And If you end up liking a gigantic glorious 4k display for your Pc, make sure to check the LG C line of tvs and the Samsung QN series, they are made for console and Pc use, so higher native refresh rate. Mine is Samsung QN90B, 43inch 4k 144hz qled tv. Its really Nice!! Good luck

My 7800x3d/7900xtx build only runs on a 85” Hisense U8 tv :D never plugged a “monitor” into it.

Sure, works fine. If it wasn't designed to be a monitor though, you may get burn-in depending on the type of panel.

A monitor is a small TV basically..

you can use it, sure. it won’t be as optimal as a monitor, but it’ll work just fine.

Yes just make sure to update your display settings in windows. Resolution, Hz, and scaling (to your liking).
PM-Your-Fuzzy-Socks@reddit
you can use any screen that has an hdmi/dp port as a monitor. so yes
