Ugh. I just saw your comment then looked up the tour. They played at one of my fav venues in Chicagoland last month, and I had no idea. Seriously gutted. They are one of the last of my fav bands that I have never seen live.

Yes! Came here to say they’re still making music, still touring, and they’re as vital and engaging as ever. I’ve seen them in Seattle twice in the last few years, and they were great.

Last year Michael and Al did a podcast with their biographer, which was so interesting. They’ve got a great story to tell, not only about the music they’ve made over the last forty years but about how they made a living amid the radical economic changes in the music industry.

It’s absolutely NOT better. It IS different which as a cover is a plus imo. It’s a much different song than the VU version and it’s great. I love it. They are totally different songs.
