Nzxt H9 Flow!
CanadianKwarantine@reddit
I got mine a few weeks ago, and I couldn't be happier with it. There's so much space.
Substantial-Sea-6761@reddit
Indeed. Its a beautiful case and What i really like about this is that it has Dust filters from bottom, top and side. Really helped collecting those dust and Cat furs lol. havent cleaned it within a year of use, just those filters every 3 to 4 weeks.
nesnalica@reddit
i love fractal cases. give you more of an adult look.
Kharnics@reddit
Same. My first 'adult' case was a meshify C. I will most def go fractal again. Meshify C is a great case.
TheSchneid@reddit
Still using mine! I upgraded my GPU last year to a 4070ti super and I have just about 2-3 mm of clearance....
Kharnics@reddit
Yup. I plan to use mine for as long as possible!
TheSchneid@reddit
When I bought the GPU the guy warned me I might have an issue depending on my front fans. Told him I'd buy slim low profile fans after the fact if needed, the case wasn't getting upgraded haha. Luckily it just barely fit.
fishyshish@reddit
Same, still on a Meshify C, but thinking of getting a new case that supports larger graphics cards.
Raptr117@reddit
Love it as a case
oliverrjr@reddit
Same! I had a Meshify C for 6 years going on 7, 4 months ago I upgraded all my parts except the case, storage and fans. Ended up spray painting the case white to match the white version Meshify C to make it feel brand new. Love it no regrets
iLikeToTroll@reddit
Have a meshify C, got a fractal north for my living room pc and the meshify is now my office p!
Love fractal cases!
OliTheOK@reddit
I wanted to move to itx but I can't part with it. Meshify C isn't even big compared to smth like 4000d.

+1 the Fractal North is awesome
AaronAardvarkTK@reddit
Just bought the North XL for a new build and I love it
Automatic-End-8256@reddit
I got the torrent and really like it as well. I feel like they could have given more cable management space in the back being it's a glass panel as well but thats my only minor complaint.
One of the fans was dead and their refund process was super easy and pretty quick
BanditSixActual@reddit
I have a Fractal Design Define 7 with the steel side panel instead of glass. Five 140mm fans and 2 120mm fans on a 240mm AIO rad. Even without headphones, you're not really aware of fan noise.
One way that noise tests are flawed is that they run the fans at 100%. Under that metric, low noise cases beat airflow cases. But in the real world, airflow cases run their fans at a lower rpm to maintain temps, and then the quiet cases produce more noise.
double0nothing@reddit
I guess you're right because the front panel looks like the crumpled tin foil hats my parents wear. Very adult.
colxa@reddit
Check out the Fractal North.
Thorn_cake578@reddit
They're probably talking more like fractal r4. Not the meshify one.
ZoixDark@reddit
Pretty much do all builds in Fractal cases. Personal system is in a Meshify 2 with solid side panel. Only light on it is the power button.

Prrg88@reddit
I can recommend checking some case reviews of gamer nexus on YouTube. You can basically skip to the conclusions for each review if you want. Most good cases out there are reviewed. If you find something you like, watch the whole video to learn everything about the case, before you pull the trigger
NyShq@reddit
Msi gungir 300r. Plenty of airflow included fans. C header on the front panel. Free anti sag bracket. 6 or 8 ssd mounting points. And easy access fan filters for cleaning. Also includes nice few cable tidys and routing for cables. Really liking it. Last case I had previous was a first gen nzxt flow

Corsair 3000D. Looks like a 4000D but cheaper and prettier imo because there isn't that opening on the sides of the front panel. Comes with everything a 4000D has, like removable PSU and magnetic top dust filters, 2x 3,5" removable hard drive bay, and enough room for cable management.

I have the compact, took me a bit to route all the cables so the panels close, but now I'm happy
greenscarfliver@reddit
This is the one I want, but man $200
TeekoTheTiger@reddit
Think of it as a $100 with $100 of fans built in.
Amazon prices for me to replace all my fans comes to £120. White RGB case was £220.
LukeNukeEm243@reddit
The Lian Li Lancool 207 has similar thermal performance for $80. I used it for my brother's new PC build after seeing the Gamers Nexus review of the case
michoken@reddit
It's a pitty you can't get it without the fans... I understand the 180mm ones are the selling point of the case but I don't use the fans it came with anyway.
greenscarfliver@reddit
That is true about the fans I haven't looked at case fan prices lately lol
technoskittles@reddit
I got the Torrent Compact for the air cooling. The size is still pretty big while the intake is closer to the CPU. Also less pricey.
I dunno why top-mounted PSUs didn't catch on after topping the air thermals. I love this thing.
SirThunderDump@reddit
I like my torrent.
I preferred the look of my old Define series, and usually prefer a case with a flatter top, but you just can’t beat those thermals. It’s the quietest air-cooled case I’ve ever owned.
Also, it’s the first time I went for a solid side panel in decades, and I like it.
michoken@reddit
I have a custom water loop in it. There’s still a bit of a room for improvement regarding dual 360 radiators but overall it’s a great case for both air and water.

Could always get the white one and buy one off of Etsy down the road! They're expensive, like 60 bucks, but you get to pick your own material and from a slew of patterns.
gyrooscope@reddit
I’m thinking about it! It’s very tempting
Rxn2016@reddit
I'm planning a build in the white one soon, and plan to get a wood front down the road from Etsy. I am also curious about where to buy the white metal internal psu cover that I see on those listings, but can't find anything

Gamerpup34@reddit
I'm going to upgrade my custom loop and need more space

Look at Phanteks instead. Corsair cases are always on sale for a reason, they're cheaply built, poor layouts and terrible customer service/availability for spare parts.
I can still email Phanteks today for my case that a good three years old and still get replacement parts for free/shipping cost to the UK. I cannot fault them.
Corsair on the other hand... Just spend some time around their subreddit and you'll see first hand how poor their products have become.
Gamerpup34@reddit
Sadly not a fan of any of the styles of the phanteks cases

HappilyPooped@reddit
Just bought the 4000d airflow. Comes with 2 x 120mm fans, but bought 6 more. I plan on 3 in the front, 3 up top with one in the back. Probably overkill, but it sits below my desk so noise isn't a major concern.
Blyatbath@reddit
the top right and front top fan is a waste, the top right fan will suck all the air from front top fan, wont contribute anything to airflow or lower temps
done the same and now i have spraypainted cardboard to guide front air to cpu fan first :D but hey -10°C
HappilyPooped@reddit
Good call. I'll try 3 in the front, two on top (middle and rear) and one in the back. Any reason to place one on the bottom above the PSU?
Blyatbath@reddit
if you want slightly lower graphics card temps. most grapics cards suck the air verticaly and blow out horizontaly. that lead to hot air recycling when the ait hits the side panel and spreds to top and bottom. with a fan u have air preassure going upwards that prevents the hot air from moving downwards
HappilyPooped@reddit
Thanks for the suggestions. Looking forward to putting it all together next week!
Blyatbath@reddit
be prepared that it takes some time to put it all together. you need to dissamble it a bit to do all the cable management. keep the manual in reach :D But its a really nice case!
crazyDiamnd67@reddit
I have the same case with 2 x 140mm front as I take and 1 x 120mm rear exhaust
I originally had another 2 x 120mm up top and after some playing with different configurations I removed them all together as they really didn’t do anything to the temps.
jtb98@reddit
I have a 4000d airflow, my girlfriend has one, 5 of the custom built computers at my work use it. fantastic case!
Glakos@reddit
This is the way.
Finsceal@reddit
4000d airflow, in white. It's gorgeous.
Role_Playing_Lotus@reddit
Yes it is. I bought the 5000D back in 2021, and then contacted Corsair an Airflow front panel (which costs $20 on their website but they sent it out for free since I had proof of purchase on their case). Paid about $80 US for the case because it was used but in "like new" condition. It was still brand new.
Did you know the Noctua Redux line of fans has a two-tone gray color scheme, and that one of those grays is an exact match for the gray trim of Corsair's white 4000D, 5000D, and 7000D Airflow cases?
Last year I built five PCs to sell, and the last one was my pinnacle build, with a black Corsair 4000D Airflow case that I stuffed full of Corsair RGB fans and Corsair RGB strip lighting. It also had some nice Corsair RGB RAM and a premium Corsair PSU.
I paired that with an extra large Corsair RGB mouse mat, a Corsair RGB gaming mouse, and a Corsair RGB keyboard. Then I used the improved iCUE Corsair RGB software to synchronize everything so that it would wash a color wave over every bit of RGB in perfect harmony, from one end of the setup to the other.
I'm not even that big on RGB, but I just wanted to do it and make somebody really happy.

Avoid Corsair, they've gone down the toilet. Their cases are on sale so frequently for a reason, they're cheap, built like trash and don't expect any decent after care unless you're in the US.
Phanteks is my case manufacturer for last few builds. Absolutely love my Evolv X. Unmatched, with the exception of possibly inwin when it comes to build quality. I will he switching to the Evov X2 when that launches.

If you're into the fishtank look and you like RGB (I'm an adult baby and I like shiny stuff) it's a really great looking case, but because of the little 'slope' it means that there's not very much room to work with in the PSU shroud where the PSU sits. If you can wrangle all the cables in the case looks phenomenal but it's an absolute shit show back there. Homer Simpsons with all his fat pulled tight behind his back is the absolute perfect description of this case.

I really like Phanteks Enthoo cases and because space isn't a concern for me, I like opting for full towers. Mid towers are totally fine too though, plus they're cheaper and can look more aesthetically pleasing depending on the rest of your setup and the amount of space you have.
I used a Lian LI case for a build in 2021 that I really like too. Honestly there are lots of great brands to choose from. The best advice is to not cheap out on a low end case, as they will be harder to work in and will likely not work as well for keeping case temps low plus they're often noiser and look noticeably cheaper.
Another good reason to spend up on a case is that it can last for a very long time. You could end up using the same case for multiple full build cycles.

Great features, looks nice, and super cheap. Having to buy the usb c port separately was annoying but not that big of a deal. If you look up the reviews, its a very high end case from circa 2000.... the grandaddy of high airflow builds, and STILL a very nice case for a retro look build.
Also have a Corsair 1000D waiting time to do a big build project. Just dont have time or need to build a supercomputer right now....
SintaticAir@reddit
Using the Corsair 4000D.
Excelent premium feeling case for the price with great airflow. though does not have top mounted 360 radiator support.
So will change to NZXT H7 Flow 2024 or Antex flux/Pro in next build.

I don't really see any reason to upgrade any time soon. It's got it all, great airflow, cable management, radiator mount options, etc.
Blakids@reddit
Same here. The 3 looks cool but most of the changes are just better mechanics to the same functionality.
Still a dope case but I'm still so happy with my Lancool II
JeffTek@reddit
Oh yeah we're definitely in an era where if you have a good modern case you're safe to keep reusing it for a while. Maybe tastes change and we get over glass sides but I don't see it happening, and any upgrades from here will either be cosmetic or minor quality of life upgrades.
Blakids@reddit
With standards at set you really can probably keep the same case for your whole life as long as you buy one that can support adequate cooling
hebsevenfour@reddit
Fractal North with the mesh side not the glass. I don’t want to see inside my case and I’m not keen on RGB.
Great looking case, sits well in modern living space, easy to build in, great air flow.
MuffinHunter0511@reddit
This is also the case I have. you and I have so much in common stranger on the Internet
Roderto@reddit
I debated whether to get the mesh or glass versions. I went with the glass as some with the mesh said that they found the outlines of the structure distracting (I.e. when the internal lights shine through and show the structure of the panel). But I wish I could have both to compare.
PIO_PretendIOriginal@reddit
Isn’t there also a solid metal option (i use the solid metal side panel on a fractal meshify 2 compact
Roderto@reddit
No, just mesh and tempered glass. But it does come in black (with gold accents and darker wood grille) and white (with silver accents and lighter wood grille).
hazmat95@reddit
Why wouldn’t you just turn off the internal lights?
Roderto@reddit
I like having a little bit of light inside the computer. But you are correct, turning off the mobo RGB is always an option.
Powerful_Schedule_91@reddit
I do keep my GPU badge lit because it's mostly just white and gives me some peace of mind. But other than that zero RGB. Doesn't look bad in the mesh case IMO.
Roderto@reddit
The only RGB in my case is integrated into my motherboard. I can turn it off if I want but I do like having a little bit of light from inside the computer.
joe298@reddit
I heard the wood made the fans much louder, true?
PIO_PretendIOriginal@reddit
There is also the fractal meshify 2 (I use it with solid metal side panel)
hebsevenfour@reddit
I never notice a thing from the intake fans (3 x 120mm Arctic P12 Max in my case) and I have it sat on the desk next to the monitor.
But then I only use my PC for gaming, and airflow is so good fans rarely rev up.
Might be different for people who do a lot of intensive productivity tasks, I couldn’t say.
joe298@reddit
Thats cool. What graphics card you got? Regular North okay size wise? I see they do an XL too
hebsevenfour@reddit
I have a RX 6950 XT which fits no problem with space to spare, though if you were set on putting an AIO cooler on the front that would narrow your options a bit.
I use an air cooler (Phantom Spirit) so that wasn’t an issue for me. Two 120mm fans on that, and then two for outtake (one back, one back top) with three front intake and temps haven’t been an issue.
I had thought to maybe use the two included 140mm fans, one in the side mesh with the included bracket and one back top instead of the 120mm I have there, but just not necessary.
Only thing I would say is, even though there is space for three 3.5 inch drives at the bottom, even using one would make cable management harder. I only use SSDs. Probably better to get the XL if they’re important to you. But I like the slightly more compact one.

Same here. Never cared for glass sides.

All RGB has been turned off on mine.
It's been a great case since I decided I don't need my Define XL anymore.
It's significantly lighter too.
Apprehensive-Dig7675@reddit
Yeah I disconnected all the RGB on mine I found it be to be distracting. When I first hooked it up it looked really cool and but It got old real quick. My ASUS motherboard has the RGB AURA Sync Utility but it just seems like such a waste of time and effort.
sdhu@reddit
Got the same case, in white. I just love looking at the wood aesthetic. It feels so grown up. Though right after i bought it, they came out with the XL, which i think would have been better suited to accommodate the size of new GPUs better.
iLikeToTroll@reddit
I have the "normal" fractal north with a rtx4090 and it fits alright!
sdhu@reddit
That is certainly good to know. I'm looking to upgrade my 1080Ti to the 5xxx series cards, and not sure what to expect, but if that 4090 monster fit, i guess i should be alright.
iLikeToTroll@reddit
Yeah but check the size before you buy it. You can find the max size of the north
FlashmansTimestopper@reddit
I had planned on the same. Have always loved the wood aesthetic. Just before I ordered one I discovered Lian Li/Dan released a very North inspired version of the A3 mATX. It's quite literally a mini Fractal North with some obvious caveats. I love its mature and minimalistic appearance far more than the white/RGB build I threw together a couple years ago.
colxa@reddit
Just built a 9800x3D system with the Fractal North. I generally agree about RGB but I think the key is to be subtle. Here is my system.. keep in mind this was in pitch black with a long exposure, so it appears even brighter than it actually is. The brightness for all of the RGB is like 5%, looks very dim in a normally lit room. It pairs really nicely with the wood grain.

I've been building in the SAMA 01. It's a lot like a Jonsbo case. It has an extra riser you can put on top or bottom. You can run the case upside down by swapping the panel with the feet. And the front IO fits either way too.
Last one on closeout: https://www.ebay.com/itm/296543507257
They might have more that are fully vented instead of glass side panel.
I used a couple UPSiren Prism4 reverse flow 140mm fans for $8-10 each on AliExpress for the bottom intake. Can do regular or reverse in the top panel too, or use the extra extension for an AIO. That or do another 120mm reverse flow on the back and have the cooler get its air from that (can put a 4th reverse flow on the front of the CPU cooler so it 'looks right')
Also built in a Montech Air 903 Base. Can recommend, nice case.

I use the Thermaltake Tower 300, and I absolutely love it. Because the motherboard is rotated 90 degrees, it has a very small footprint, while still being able to fit any graphics card on the market. It is small, looks great, and has excellent airflow. Things to keep in mind, it does require a mATX motherboard and the rear io ends up on the top below the fans, so if you often plug things in and out of the rear io, that can be a tiny bit annoying.
Beastmind@reddit

leonmarino@reddit
Lian Li 011 Dynamic Mini (black) - I wanted to get on the fishtank hype. - 011 Vision doesn't allow top fans. - I didn't want an overly large case.
Only recently I learned that it's actually a case better suited for AIOs. My undervolted 5700x3d is fine with the Phantom Spirit CPU fan though.
Build quality is excellent but I guess one major drawback is the need for a SFX power supply.
If I were to buy a case now I'll probably go for the Lancool 207. Front fans make more sense for aircooled builds.

mrbrownl0w@reddit
The only downside I find with it is that the 3,5 inch HDD spots are bit weird, screwed vertically to the back of the motherboard panel. But I've been very happy with it in general.

How do you like it? I just bought one, but I'm starting to rethink it as I haven't built it yet.
keksmuzh@reddit
I’ve been using it for my main system for about 6 years, no major complaints. The front fans look great and the I/O is maybe a bit dated (no type C) but functional. Plenty of room to build in and even as a first-time builder back then the case didn’t make cable management any more challenging than it otherwise would be.
Still-around1324@reddit
Thanks, that is helpful. I'm probably going to return it as I got it from Amazon, but the PDF link was for another model and I'm not feeling it.

Everything opens up for easy access, and it comes with six fans pre-installed and plugged into the included fan/rgb controller. All accessory screws come in a labeled organizer box so finding the right one is a breeze. Two interchangeable front panels let you choose between mesh or glass aquarium look, and the front fan set is hinged for easy swing to side mount if you want that front glass panel.

NZXT H6 Flow. The case is absolutely amazing. And NZXT’s support is by far the best I’ve ever experienced: when building my PC I stripped a screw. I couldn’t find a replacement one so I contacted their support to ask where I could buy a replacement screw. They asked me to provide some information like an invoice and after that they shipped a couple of replacements screws - completely free of charge. For context: they shipped it from the US. I live in the Netherlands and they paid for everything: shipping, EU import tax and of course the screws themselves. Absolutely amazing support.

I don't care that everyone says it's overrated, I love my Lian Li O11 Dynamic XL. It's easy to build in and looks great.

Evo RGB here and agreed. It's just so nice to build in - tons of space, a billion cable grommets and ties and other management helpers, pretty much completely toolless and barely even any screws (never going back to side panels that need to be unscrewed like my old Meshify C, the future is now old man) - every time I did pretty much anything I was like "ooh that's nice." And I imagine the XL is even moreso, with the whole "mobo tray can come out" thing. I just didn't need that big a case, and certainly not for $250.

NZXT s340 Elite, it’s an older mid tower case. But I have built 2 computers in it and about to build a third. It’s perfect for me, compact, not too flashy but still has a nice tempered glass panel. People claim airflow is an issue, but after 7 years I can assure you that it is not. 10/10

I have the o11 air mini. It's a bit problematic for cable management behind the panel as I have a long psu eating the space where you stuff the loose cables, and the case is a bit heavy. But it's one with great cooling, I wipe the front filter many times with how powerful ( and yet very silent) the Lian Li fans are.
JinsooJinsoo@reddit
One of few cases (that I know of) that can fit ATX mobos and 3 radiators while staying in the medium form factor. Love my o11 mini ❤️
Few_Tank7560@reddit
Indeed, I kept it only air cooling, but I added two 140mm fans at the bottom and one at the top, I just had to put a 120mm one at the top to the rear as the connectors at the top of the motherboard were taking too much space. I might be creating tornados somewhere

NZXT makes great cases. I also like Fractal Design. Just remember: You get what you pay for usually. Cheap cases usually are harder to work in and may have issues. Tons of fans may look cool but they also can suck in more dust. More fans doesn't always equal a cooler PC (temperature wise). Remember that fans can create heat too.
Rapom613@reddit
I have a lian li x Dan a4-h2o. Life the look and it how it is designed to be water cooled from the start It was super tight to build in and challenging to get the case sides closed. Also had to be a lot more careful reading spec sheets to ensure everything would fit
Jonnypista@reddit
A random black case I got with my cheap pre built like 10 years ago. The only quality it has is that both side panels can come off for minor cable management. I keep the main panel off as it only has a 80mm fan support on the side and no other holes so it would boil itself otherwise. With the panels on the top of the case gets uncomfortably hot.
