Building first pc - Sense check my build please

Hi All,
I'm planning an all-black AMD build for 1440p gaming (Path of Exile, heavily modded Skyrim, Cyberpunk 2077, etc) trying to keep in mind both performance and aesthetics but since it is my first build I need some help to sense-check if what I've picked up is all compatible and a good choice or not. I have no professional/work use for this pc. This is purely for gaming.

List of parts and reasoning
AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 4.2 GHz 8-Core Processor - Either this or 9800X3D (pretty firm on one of these 2)
Thermalright Phantom Spirit 66.17 CFM CPU Cooler - Like the aesthetics and seems good performance/price
Thermalright CPU Contact Frame Anti-Bending Buckle for AM5 - Like the aesthetics but not entirely sure if it will have any positive impact or not?
Honeywell PTM7950 Phasechange Thermal Pad - May perform slightly worse than Thermal pastes but supposedly lasts longer and cleaner installation? How do I get the legit stuff here in the UK and don't get scammed?
NZXT M7 B650E ATX AM5 motherboard - Like the aesthetics and seems good enough performance/price
TEAMGROUP T-Create Expert 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 Memory - Like the aesthetics and seems good performance/price
Samsung 970 Evo Plus 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 3.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive - Already have this one so £0
Samsung 990 Pro 4 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive - Not sure if Samsung is overkill with its DRAM or if I should go with Crucial P3 plus that has no DRAM and save £50
XFX Speedster MERC 310 Black Edition Radeon RX 7900 XTX 24 GB Video Card - Initially planned to get the Sapphire Nitro + as I read XFX might be noisy but that one is an extra £200 and so eventually I decided on the XFX and also think I prefer the XFX aesthetics better
Fractal Design North ATX Mid Tower Case - Aesthetics (pretty firm)
Corsair RM1000e (2023) 1000 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply - Wanted to get higher wattage PSU so that in the future I can keep it and only upgrade GPU but couldn't find anything else that was A-Tier and also had a compatible cable-mod replacement kit
CableMod C-Series PRO ModMesh Cable Kit for Corsair RM (Black Label) / RMi / RMx - https://eustore.cablemod.com/product/cablemod-pro-modmesh-c-series-rmi-rmx-cable-kit/ I hope I picked the right one for this PSU?
4 x ARCTIC P14 Max 95 CFM 140 mm Fan - Going with 2 140mm front instead of 3 120mm front as I assume they'll move just about the same air but the bigger ones will be quieter?
1 x ARCTIC P12 Max 81.04 CFM 120 mm Fan - Mounting it in the back.
I am aware that I could save £300 or so by not taking aesthetics that much in consideration and taking a different case like a Llian Li Lancool 216, an equivalent spec but cheaper motherboard and not using replacement PSU cables but I'm happy spending that extra money on a build I find pretty.
Anyways, let me know if you notice any flaws in the build or how you'd improve on it please.

Just wanted to chime in to confirm that is indeed the correct kit for your PSU. :)

This was a pleasant surprise hahah

Happy to help. :)

I just realised that the kit only has 2x8-pin PCIe cables and then a 1x6-pin PCIe cable but my GPU has 3x8-pin PCIe connections. Is that intended?
CableMod_Matt@reddit
That is intended, yes. We sell additional 8 pin PCIE cables separately. It wouldn't be fair for us to add the third 8 pin PCIE cable to kits and charge more for the kits when not everyone has 3x8 pin PCIE setups, which is why we do it this way. Overall kit price is cheaper for the vast majority, but we still offer the additional 8 pins to those who need it.

I wish someone would've commented that the kit wasn't enough for me and that I needed an extra cable, now I'm stuck with a cable kit I can't use or paying 20€ shipping for a single cable. Thank you for the answers though

We do have additional 8 pin PCIE over at CaseKing as well if that works for you. You can check those out here: https://www.caseking.de/en/search?page=1&prefn1=pim_connector_1_internal&prefv1=PSU%20(8-Pin)%20PLUG&q=cablemod%20c-series%208%20pin%20pcie

Finally got all my parts and I'm assembling my pc. My 24 pin motherboard cable is a bit tangled up at the PSU endings. I assume that's "intended"?
CableMod_Matt@reddit
Fully normal on that actually, stock cables also have crossed wires too, this is due to the pinouts assigned by the manufacturer. That has to be followed, otherwise the cables will not function appropriately. What do you mean by the 2 pin gap though?
